As we’re writing this story, content creator Michelle Dy has over 3.7 million followers across her social platforms and we’d like to guess the reason: her relaxed take on beauty where she looks like a million bucks even when it doesn’t seem like she spent much time fussing over herself. In short, peak #SummerGirl beauty.

While she nails the classics that make up the salty-haired and sandy-footed aesthetic—glowy tanned skin, a blurry just-bitten lip, and #StrawberryGirl blush—, here, the HOFS Singapore Awards 2023  Beauty & Health Influencers Hall Of Fame Award winner takes us through her after-sun routine, where to catch the sunset in Ilocos Norte where she hails from, and the best beauty tip she’s learnt.

A skincare product that works well even in hot and humid climates.
I love the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream ($63) because it moisturises well without leaving your skin sticky.

One beauty product that she fails to pack in her travel kit.
The Kat Von D Lock-It-Pore-Refining Primer ($54) because cause it keeps my face oil-free all day and helps to prolong the wear of my make up. It’s one of my holy grail products.

The best place to hang out in Ilocos Norte.
One of the things I like to do is watching the sun set in the sand dunes of Paoay, Ilocos Norte. After a 4×4 ride, I usually bring a cooler with drinks and snacks, turn on some music and just enjoy the amazing view with friends. It’s a vibe.

The best store in Ilocos Norte to shop for fashion.
I can’t think of a particular store but I really love wearing “Inabel” pieces. It’s a fabric that originates from Ilocos Norte handwooven by Ilocana Artisans.

A body product she uses for instantly glowy skin.
I love applying Nuxe’s Multi-Purpose Dry Oil ($35) particularly on my arms and chest area to give me glowing skin and to make my perfume stay on longer.

A beauty product she uses after hanging out in the sun.
I apply Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF50 PA++++ ($67) before and after I go out in the sun. I love that it doesn’t clog my pores and it’s not sticky.

I also apply the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Water Gel ($27.90) after a shower when I am at the beach. Both of them work really well in hydrating my skin.

The best beauty tip someone has taught you.
Don’t eat anything salty or processed before sleeping at night if you don’t want a puffy face the morning after.

The best way to spend a night in Ilocos Norte.
A nice dinner spread by the beach with friends and family where we also light a bonfire and have some drinks. That is the perfect night for me.

The calmness and the sound of the ocean just takes away the pressure off of my head and leaves me rejuvenated and energised.
