For the better part of a decade, there’s been one name that’s become almost impossible to separate from Singapore’s floral scene: The Floral Atelier. If you’ve ever wandered through a Gucci boutique transformed by cascading blooms or stopped to admire a seasonal Tiffany & Co pop-up dressed with bright flowers, chances are The Floral Atelier was behind it. Now, the Singapore-born studio is blossoming overseas, with the opening of its Hong Kong flagship.
Behind the doors of its Staunton Street address, flowers have become much more than decoration. The two-storey space, named Hong Kong in Bloom, is the first to unite every branch of The Atelier & Co Holdings under one roof, encompassing The Floral Atelier’s couture blooms, The Wedding Atelier’s celebration planning, and its experiential design studio The Atelier & Co.
“We wanted to create a space that feels open, inspiring and deeply connected to Hong Kong—a place where florals, gifting, celebrations and ideas can come together, and where our community can bloom with us,” says Lelian Chew, founder and creative director of The Atelier & Co Holdings. Judging by the address alone, those words ring true. The Wedding Atelier had already put down roots on Staunton Street back in 2013, and the arrival of its sister brands feel like a return of sorts.

As with everything The Floral Atelier touches, nature is left to flourish in lavish fashion. Marble countertops and brushed brass fixtures set a polished backdrop for towering bouquet arrangements at every turn. Above, suspended blooms tumble from the ceiling in a display so whimsical, you could be forgiven for thinking that the Hanging Gardens of Babylon were not in ancient Mesopotamia at all, but were, in fact, inside a swanky boutique in Hong Kong’s moneyed Central neighbourhood.

If you came for flowers alone, don’t expect to leave quite so quickly. The ground floor of The Floral Atelier has plenty of fanciful temptations. Fresh floral creations take pride of place, accompanied by preserved and glass arrangements for those who prefer their posies to last a little longer. Nearby, neatly stacked tins of specialty teas punctuate the sea of petals, with a spread of aromatic artisanal confections also on offer. For the final ingredient of an impeccable tablescape, the homeware delivers in spades. Botanical plates are illustrated with peonies, orchids, scarlet poppies and wine red roses. The former are enough to transport you to Dorothy Gale’s journey through Oz, while the latter wouldn’t look out of place on Belle’s dining table.

Upstairs lies the full breadth of The Floral Atelier’s business. Shared by The Wedding Atelier and The Atelier & Co, the first floor serves as a planning and design studio, where the team maps out destination weddings, immersive brand experiences, and a host of grand fêtes.
Chew herself describes the flagship as a reflection of its Hong Kong future, guided by intention, creativity, and a commitment to the brand’s new home. Looking around the flagship, that promise feels well underway.
