As we start marching into the festive season, there’s no better time to take a good hard look at the products that have served you well this year—as well as the ones that maybe have fallen short of expectations. Beda Skin’s Lip Serums
A homegrown skincare label to have on your radar this year is Beda Skin. Founded by Rachel Poon, Beda Skin’s “Less Is More” approach to skincare is rather refreshing in an industry where we’re constantly bombarded with new launches and trends. I recently got my hands on the brand’s Vitamin Lip Serum Duo. The pair of lip serums—one clear, and the other a soft yet vibrant pink shade—is infused with vitamin E and Argan oil, to nourish and hydrate your pout with every wear. The formula is also created to be safe for those with sensitivities to harsh, stripping ingredients. Upon first application, I personally loved the non-sticky formula, and enjoyed the sheer (yet buildable) pigment of shade So Sick Of Love Songs. New skincare staple alert!

Dior Beauty’s Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo
Time to add some sparkle to your pout, as we inch towards the festive season. This year, in lieu of the holiday season, Dior Beauty has unveiled the new Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duos, a two-sided lipstick-gloss hybrid product that promises to amp up the revelry factor of any party look. The pigment from the coloured end provides a liquid lipstick that magically reveals a glittering finish, once the lips are pressed together. On the opposite end, a clear gloss provides the ultimate high-shine topper—perfecting for locking in the glitz and glam. The French maison has release 10 shades, but my favourite has to be the 719 Acrobat, a warm bronze that looks spicy, edgy and festive all at once.

Ormaie Lands In Singapore
If you want to stand out during the festive season, lean into niche perfume label Ormaie. The French family-owned perfume house has just landed at Escentials in Singapore, and I recently got the opportunity to experience their fragrances for myself. Amongst their festive offerings, the scent that’s perfect for the warmer winter season is the Yvonne Extrait de Parfum. The floral and fruity fragrance presents the sweeter notes of plum, alongside neroli, Turkish rose, amber and tonka bean, to complete the delightfully rich concoction.

Hermès Beauty’s Playful Take On Shape, Colour And Form
The playful precision of geometry gets a stunning upgrade this October. Hermès Beauty has unveiled a limited-edition palette, inspired by the whimsy of lines, shapes and drawing. In keeping with the historic maison’s 2025 theme Drawn To Craft, the collection introduces a trio of lipsticks alongside an eyeshadow palette.
Brought to life by the brand’s creative director for beauty Gregoris Pyrpylis, the collection presents a whimsical take on colour, form and function. The eyeshadow palette provides soft, buildable pigment that blends out on the lids with ease. Meanwhile, the lipsticks add a pop of colour to the face, without drying the pout out, even after extended wear. From the range of lip pigments, my personal pick is shade 24 Rose Épure, a true my-lips-but-better shade that feels both neutral and subtly flattering on the lips.

Chloé’s New Le Parfum Fragrance
Chloé unveils its newest addition to its namesake fragrance collection: Le Parfum. While the other iterations of the Chloé Eau de Parfum perfume family all bring a certain tenderness to the table, Le Parfum takes the classic rose scent and uplifts the accord with a much brighter ingredient: orange blossom. The vibrant, uncut energy of orange blossom cuts through the soft flower power to create a perfume that’s nuanced and deep. That depth is amplified further by the addition of tonka bean and vanilla in its heart—which imbue Le Parfum with an addictive warmth.

Sol de Janeiro’s Sundays In Rio Scent
Speaking of warmth, there’s nothing quite like a amber, floral gourmand scent, especially in climates like Singapore’s. Enter the new limited edition body mist from Sol de Janeiro: Sundays In Rio. At the heart of the fragrance is deep vanilla notes coupled with the woody, earthy tones of orris concrete. But what immediately captures the nose is pink pepper and pear, ingredients that are at once bright and alluring. Together, these notes deliver the fun, spirited energy of a Brazilian holiday in a single spritz.
For those of us who may be less than acquainted with Sol de Janeiro, the cruelty-free beauty brand has been flipping the script on body mists for 10 years. Hourglass Cosmetics’s Limited Edition Holiday Palettes
Ahead of the festive season, Hourglass Cosmetics has unveiled a gorgeous new range of limited edition palettes as part of its Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked collection. These four palettes are the perfect companion for all-in-one glam.
Recently, I brought my Ambient Lighting Unlocked Fox palette to Sydney—and the slate of blushes, highlighters and bronzers applied beautifully on the skin. Silky smooth, pigmented and thoughtfully curated, the palette allowed me to seamlessly transition my makeup from brunch date beauty to bar-hopping chic with ease. And while the new purple blusher shade—Ambient Blush in Amethyst Haze—initially seemed tricky to work with for an everyday look, the berry tone was actually one of my favourites from the palette. Another pigment I loved was the new Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder in Solar Glow, which functioned as the perfect sun-kissed highlighting powder for my beach days.

Dior Beauty’s New Rose Star Fragrance
As part of its La Collection Privée, Dior Beauty reveals Rose Star, a fragrance built for the lovers. The Rose Star perfume, created by renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, combines two of Christian Dior’s loves: Centifolia roses and the emblematic star. Those classic Dior symbols present themselves in this alluring scent. The rose takes shape and transforms endlessly, after a sprightly lemon zest opens up the senses. Following the floral allure of Centifolia rose, an array of notes—raspberry, pear and lychee—imbue the fragrance with a bouquet of fruity freshness so layered, so bewitching. Yet, it’s the Sichuan pepper that adds an unexpected twist on the nose.
