You may not recognise Cj Hendry by face, but you’ll know her work, splashed across headlines and Instagram feeds almost instantly after it appears. One moment it’s drawings of Gucci bags and crumpled receipts rendered in obsessive ink detail; the next, a pair of US$9,000 Nike Air Mags half-dipped in a bucket of paint.
Over the years, the Australian artist’s signature use of luxury objects in hyperreal, large-scale sketches has built her a following among the style-obsessed. Pharrell Williams, Vera Wang, and Christian Louboutin are just some of the names linked to Hendry, either as collectors or collaborators. With this much cultural cachet, it’s no surprise that almost anything she creates turns to internet gold—two of which are coming to Singapore in June.
The Flower Market
The Flower Market is one of Hendry’s most viral creations. The installation was originally a collaboration with Clé de Peau Beauté, and first introduced in 2024 on Roosevelt Island in New York. Visitors were greeted to a looming industrial-style greenhouse tent, which housed 100,000 plush-material flowers packed to the brim in crates. Inside, guests could wander through rows of blooms and pick out flowers to build their own bouquets. In usual Hendry fashion, her work became a magnet for everyone from curious passers-by to design crowd regulars, with even Martha Stewart making an appearance at the market.
Its online and in-person reception was so well-received, the Flower Market returned to New York once again in 2025 at Rockefeller Center. Here in Asia, the installation recently debuted at Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront. For those of us feeling a little FOMO from the pictures circulating online, fear not—Flower Market will take place in Singapore at IMBA Theatre from 10 to 14 June.
What To Expect

As with every Flower Market installation thus far, count on a greenhouse-like venue to house Hendry’s plush botanicals. The event is open to all, though pre-registration is encouraged. Attendees are given one complimentary flower to start their bouquet off. From there, every additional flower is available for purchase.
Earlier editions have introduced city-specific blooms, with limited designs created exclusively for each location. Hong Kong included a soft-to-touch version of their national flower, the bauhinia, while New Yorkers were treated to an exclusive flower design that could only be purchased by going to the observation deck of Rockefeller Center. As for what Hendry has in store for Singapore, expect a similar approach. There will be a plush appearance from our very own vibrant Miss Joaquim; a fuzzier rendition of the alien-looking Raffles’ Pitcher Plant; and an adorably supple version of the stunning Singapore Ginger Flower. Rest assured that bouquets will leave looking far fuller than originally intended.
JuJu World
If the garden isn’t quite where your obsessions lie, Hendry’s second Singapore pop-up may be more your speed. For the Labubu collectors and Sanrio devotees, consider this Hendry’s answer: JuJu. First unveiled in Hong Kong with Phillips Auction House, JuJu is a soft, bunny-like character, identifiable by a flower placed over one eye—the same ones that appear in pool float form at her well-known Pool Party exhibition series. In Singapore, Hendry will launch JuJu World, taking place at IMBA Theatre from 20 June to 18 July.
What To Expect
For JuJu’s debut in Hong Kong, Phillips’ Asia headquarters was transformed into a pink-saturated supermarket space, complete with pastel-pink foam floors and JuJu sculptures. Blind-box JuJu bag charms were offered in 24 colourways, as well as other clothing, accessories and merchandise. Since the launch, Hendry has delighted the collectible world with more iterations of the fluffy plush, including special Valentine’s Day and Easter versions.
JuJu World is said to be the world’s first inflatable experience for the toy, done in bright bold yellows for the summer season. Unlike the Flower Market, JuJu World is a ticketed event. But Hendry is not without some exclusive perks for the expansion of her JuJu universe—limited-edition, large-sized JuJus will be crafted at the event, and will not be available anywhere outside of the immersive exhibition in Singapore. Hendry has even gone the extra mile to make sure Singapore’s JuJus are exceptionally fashionable, and has designed outfits and hair accessories for the collectibles.
