Giving its Bird on a Rock brooch a lustrous twist, Tiffany & Co debuts Bird on a Pearl, a high jewellery capsule collection that reinterprets the classic created by designer Jean Schlumberger in 1965.
The collection was crafted with pearls from the private collection of Mr Hussain Ibrahim Al-Fardan, the founder of Qatar’s Alfardan Jewellery and an antiques, art and gem collector. The rest of the collection comprises other key Schlumberger designs reimagined to incorporate pearls instead of gemstones.

The baroque, button and near-round natural saltwater pearls in dark grey, grey, light cream, light pinkish-brown and white were harvested from the Gulf region, and the capsule collection was presented in Doha last month.
