Louis Vuitton’s VIA experience has finally landed on the shores of Singapore. First unveiled in June 2022, VIA marks one of the maison’s ventures into the Web3 space, creating an insider community of members around the world. Through VIA, members gain access to a curated selection of limited-edition collectibles which currently includes the orange leather Speedy 40 VIA bag designed by Pharrell Williams, and the VIA Tile Trunk by Nicolas Ghesquière. Both are now showcased at Louis Vuitton’s newly refurbished store in ION Orchard.
On the first floor, which is dedicated to menswear, you will also find the VIA Treasure Trunk. It takes inspiration from the iconic Louis Vuitton trunk, which was invented more than 160 years and has become a symbol of groundbreaking innovation and unparalleled creativity for the maison.
Purchasing the VIA Treasure Trunk, which also comes as a digital collectible or NFT, will grant you access to Louis Vuitton’s ultra-exclusive community. Aside from the aforementioned limited-edition products, Treasure Trunk owners will also be invited to novel experiences, such as meeting with Louis Vuitton men’s creative director, Pharrell Williams.
The VIA Treasure Trunk, which is limited to 200 pieces around the world, is finally available for purchase in Singapore.
While you’re at the store, make sure to check out the newly renovated space inspired by the harmonious fusion of local culture and Louis Vuitton’s iconic aesthetic. Level one is dedicated to menswear while level two features womenswear, presenting a curated selection of ready-to-wear pieces, shoes, accessories, leather goods, luggage and fragrances along with watches and jewellery. You can now shop Louis Vuitton’s fun collaboration with Chinese artist Sun Yitian for Pre-Fall 2024, or check out the colourful monogram pieces from the new LV By The Pool collection.
The refreshed store is also adorned with an array of specially-commissioned artworks and sculptures that reflects the maison’s deep appreciation for the arts and culture. On the first level, visitors are greeted by Marcel Wanders’s Diamond Screen from Louis Vuitton’s Objects Nomades collection. Crafted with fine leather, the art installation features an intricate pattern inspired by the combination of the maison’s monogram motif and the traditional canework that was once seen on its trunks. As visitors ascend from the first to the second level, they will encounter a breathtaking wall painting crafted with Shikkui plaster, designed by Japanese artist Tomohisa Hirashi in collaboration with local artisans. The store’s furniture has also been carefully curated, striking molecular chairs by Chinese designer Vivian Joysliving and elegant high display tables by designer Christophe Delcourt decorate the space.
