Major news for minimalism fans: COS has opened a new store in VivoCity, marking its fourth location in Singapore. The vast store, spanning 330 square metres, features several rooms dedicated to the London-based fashion brand’s offerings, namely womenswear, menswear, bags and accessories.
The space is irresistibly chic, decorated with Swedish label Kasthall’s colourful, hand-woven rugs made from surplus yarn, and custom papier-mâché tables (yes, really) from Italy’s Paper Factor. Other tasteful, sustainable touches in the store’s interior include Moso’s bamboo wardrobes and Grassi Pietre’s marble-like floor tiles, which are made from recycled materials.
The new COS store will offer a stylish and calming respite from the buzz of VivoCity, one of Singapore’s biggest and busiest shopping malls. It will also be a site of retail therapy for those looking for practical and elegant pieces to add to their closets. Among the highlights in the store is COS’s new High Summer collection, featuring airy dresses and cotton tops that will see you through the warmer season. You will also find an array of must-have accessories, like mesh ballet flats—perfectly suited for Casual Shoe Summer—and COS’s cult-favourite quilted bags.
All of these pieces stay true to COS’s minimalist, Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic. Even while resisting the changing tides of trends, the fashion brand’s designs are cool, fresh and undeniably modern. With timelessness in mind, COS reworks wardrobe staples and elevates them with a focus on experimental textures and materials. The brand makes it a point to use high-quality fabrics that are organic, recycled or regenerative in its products—something that is clearly translated into COS’s store design, too.
COS VivoCity will officially open its doors on Friday, 9 August. The fashion brand has three other stores in Singapore, located at Marina Bay Sands, Raffles City, and ION Orchard, which also stocks the premium COS Atelier capsule collection that launched this year.
