Since his ascension to the helm of Bottega Veneta, Creative Director Matthieu Blazy has continued to champion his predecessor’s inclination for quiet luxury and wardrobe staples that display the Maison’s craftsmanship.
Blazy has outdone himself season after season, with the latest being the Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2023 collection.
The lineup sees elevated and versatile classics that can be styled in multiple ways. Think pale blue oxford shirts and trousers printed with a trompe l’oeil denim effect crafted from calfskin, cosy textural and graphic knits, loose-fitting leather mini dresses and more. The colours featured across the collection vary from neutrals for the workplace and pastel hues made for more fun times.
The stars of the show? Accessories that span leather mules, tall metallic boots and a selection of bags that range from minimal clutches to an iteration of the Kalimero, first seen in Blazy’s debut collection.
Among them, two styles have captivated fans—celebrities, such as long-time friends of the house Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kendall Jenner included. Bottega Veneta’s Sardine bag—which takes inspiration from Daniel Lee’s Jodie design—features a sleek fish-shaped handle and comes in various sizes and colourways.
The other is the label’s new Brown Bag, a structured and spacious tote that displays the house’s renowned craftsmanship for the minimalist with a penchant for quiet luxury.
