In the trend-driven world of K-pop, Jisoo has set herself apart with her classic, feminine style. She is, after all, the ambassador of the French luxury brand Dior. But the Blackpink singer knows how to change things up too. On her way to New York Fashion Week, Jisoo was spotted at the Incheon Airport in Seoul wearing a casual outfit—with a bright pop of colour.
The Flower singer sported a striped red sweater and a navy blue corduroy mini skirt. The colours of Jisoo’s clothes didn’t just coincidentally match those of the American flag: the pieces are from Tommy Hilfiger, a fashion brand that has shaped American fashion since 1985. Jisoo, who completed her outfit with a pair of black penny loafers and white socks, stayed true to Tommy Hilfiger’s cool, preppy aesthetic, which has reemerged as a major fashion trend in the past year.
The South Korean singer also showed her support for another American fashion brand: The Row, helmed by designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Jisoo carried her essentials in The Row’s Half Moon bag, a favourite of other stylish It-girls like Ariana Grande, Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner. (Jisoo isn’t the only Blackpink member to be a fan of the quiet luxury label: Jennie has been spotted with the Terrasse bag, while Rosé is known to favour the Margaux bag, which has been dubbed as “the new Birkin”.)
Jisoo’s latest airport fashion outfit marks a departure from her typical Dior ensembles, which are elegant, ladylike and often come in black. The K-pop star makes a strong case for taking a preppy direction when it comes to airport fashion; who wouldn’t want to dress comfortably for their 13-hour flight to New York?
What Jisoo will wear to Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show is another question. The show is set to be one of the highlights of New York Fashion Week this season—not only because it marks the Blackpink star’s return to NYFW after 6 years, but because it will also be attended by the likes of K-pop boy band Stray Kids, Thai actors Gemini and Fourth, as well as Hollywood celebrities. Even with all those famous faces present, Jisoo will surely stand out on the front row: at Fashion Week events, she is known to dress to impress. For her second New York Fashion Week season, expect her to do so with an American twist.
