December is always a special month on the streaming front. Aside from a flurry of festive shows and movies, it seems like streaming giants often save their best content for the final month of the year, when we’re all craving a good binge-watch session. In 2025, that includes works with some serious star power behind them—think BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook, George Clooney, Taylor Swift, Kate Winslet, and more. Read on for GRAZIA Singapore’s roundup of the best of streaming this December.
Are You Sure?! Season 2
BTS’s hiatus won’t officially end until spring of next year, but the boys are making sure to keep their fans fed with content in the meantime. Jimin and Jungkook return for the second season of their hit show Are You Sure?!, which sees the pair travel across the world together on a tight budget. This season brings the familiar blend of humour and chaos as the first, but features new locations and challenges across the 12-day journey. Fans can expect to see Jimin and Jungkook traverse snow-capped Swiss mountains and tropical Vietnamese beaches across the series’ eight episodes.
Season 2 of Are You Sure?! will premiere on Disney+ on 3 December.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
We don’t think we’ll ever tire of seeing Daniel Craig look camp straight in the eye as the eccentric, ambiguously accented detective Benoit Blanc. Thankfully, director Rian Johnson seems happy to keep us supplied with more Knives Out films. The cast is predictably star-studded for a Knives Out movie, including Mila Kunis, Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Cailee Spaeny, and Josh O’Connor. This one brings the series’s classic whodunnit setup to a church, where a monsignor has been found murdered, leading Blanc to undertake his deadliest case yet.
Wake Up Dead Man will premiere on Netflix on 12 December.
Taylor Swift: The End Of An Era
A global phenomenon as seismic as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour deserves a fittingly emotional sendoff. This six-part docu-series takes us behind the scenes of the biggest tour in history through the eyes of the biggest pop star in the world, giving us a glimpse at the immense amount of work that went into the glittery spectacle. The trailer teases appearances from some of our favourite characters from the Taylor Swift extended universe, including Ed Sheeran, Sabrina Carpenter, Travis Kelce, and, most importantly, Meredith the cat. Whether you want to relive your best Eras Tour memories or you’re diving in for the first time, The End of an Era is the perfect way to do it.
The End of an Era will premiere on Disney+ on 12 December.
Jay Kelly
George Clooney plays a beloved actor in crisis, Adam Sandler is his irreverent manager, Laura Dern his harried publicist, and Noah Baumbach is directing—what else do you need to know? In Jay Kelly, George Clooney plays a world-famous movie star that has it all, but forgot to grow up along the way. While the movie’s subject matter has people drawing parallels between the character and Clooney himself, the actor insisted that he sees few similarities between him and Jay Kelly. “I’ve always felt, again, very lucky that it took such a long time for me [to become famous], but also it gave me a chance to learn how not to be Jay Kelly in real life,” Clooney explained to Netflix. Regardless of the role’s off-screen origins, Clooney’s signature charm combined with Baumbach’s writing and directing chops promise a poignant and humorous exploration of identity and purpose.
Jay Kelly will premiere on Netflix on 5 December.
Stranger Things 5: Volume 2
It seems like the team behind Stranger Things is as reluctant to officially say goodbye as we are. Even after the second volume of the show’s fifth season drops on 26 December, we’ll have to wait a little longer for the grand finale on 1 January. The first half of this season is streaming now on Netflix, but we’ll keep it spoiler-free for those of you who haven’t had the chance to do a proper binge-watch yet—suffice to say, the Hawkins gang will be coming together for one final push to defeat Vecna once and for all.
Stranger Things 5: Volume 2 will premiere on Netflix on 26 December.
Goodbye June
If the YouTube comments on the trailer of this Kate Winslet-directed drama are any indication, it’s going to be a proper tear-jerker. Goodbye June follows four siblings as they’re unexpectedly brought back together over the festive season after their mother’s health takes a turn for the worse. With Helen Mirren playing the siblings’ wry and witty mother, Goodbye June promises a mix of warm humour with emotional heft.
Goodbye June will premiere on Netflix on 24 December.
The Family Stone
We couldn’t give you a December streaming roundup without at least one feel-good festive classic in the mix. The Family Stone stars Sarah Jessica Parker as a Type A career woman suddenly thrust into a very Type B family when she goes home with her boyfriend (Dermot Mulaney) for the holidays, resulting in a screwball comedy with a Christmas twist. The movie mixes classic comedy tropes with surprisingly heartfelt moments, anchored by an emotional performance by Diane Keaton as the Stone family matriarch.
The Family Stone is now streaming on Netflix.
