The Little Nyonya returns with Emerald Hill, a fresh revival that breathes new life into its beloved legacy while celebrating Peranakan culture. The new series promises to mesmerise viewers with a riveting tale of anguish, romance, and resilience. Stepping into the spotlight is Tasha Low as Xin Niang, a homeless young woman who discovers she is the long-lost daughter of the influential Zhang family. The Potato Lab

Starring Lee Sun-Bin and Kang Tae-Oh, The Potato Lab is a classic enemies-to-lovers tale set against the breathtaking backdrop of mountain valleys. The story follows hot-tempered potato researcher Kim Mi-Gyung, who is forced to collaborate with her notoriously rigid colleague and director So Baek-Ho, after discovering that the show’s namesake, Potato Lab, is on the brink of shutting down. As tensions rise between these longtime rivals, the line between love and hate begins to blur, and their once-bitter feud slowly transforms into a romance fuelled by their equally chaotic personalities.

The Electric State

A dystopian blockbuster in the vein of The Hunger Games and Avengers, The Electric State keeps you on the edge of your seat. Loosely based on Simon Stålenhag’s 2018 graphic novel of the same name, the film reimagines a futuristic world set in the ’90s. Starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, it follows an orphaned teenager and her robotic companion, Mr. Peanut, as they embark on a perilous journey to find her missing brother amid a full-scale robot rebellion. Marvel fans will also be thrilled to see the film helmed by the acclaimed director duo, the Russo Brothers.

The Electric State will be available to watch on 14 March on Netflix.

Revelations

Dark and gritty are the perfect words to describe Revelations, a psychological thriller masterpiece from acclaimed filmmakers Alfonso Cuarón and Yeon Sang-Ho. The film unravels a missing persons case that entwines a pastor and a detective in a divine mission to punish the suspect behind the disappearance of a young girl, Shin Ae-Young. As the detective is haunted by visions of her dead sister, faith twists into madness. Starring Ryu Jun-Yeol, Shin Hyun-Bin, and Shin Min-Jae, Revelations follows their gripping descent into the blurred lines of justice and obsession.

The Korean drama Revelations is set to premiere on Netflix on 21 March.

The Life List

Originally released as a novel in 2013 by Lori Nelson Spielman, The Life List is a heartfelt exploration of life’s messiness, challenges, and triumphs. Starring Purple Hearts’s actress Sofia Carson as Alex Rose, the film follows her on a soul-searching adventure, as she sets out to complete a list of childhood goals—once written as a teenager and rediscovered at the request of her late mother.
