The GRAZIA Guide To A Girls’ Night Out At Avenue Singapore

Retire the usual rotation—this is where the group chat should be heading next

Is it just us, or has every girls’ night out started to follow the same script? The same three spots thrown into the group chat; a poll of a list of places that nobody commits to; and 15 minutes of “anywhere is fine” that means absolutely nowhere is fine. If the usual rotation is starting to feel tired, consider switching things up. Tucked discreetly into The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands—with its own exterior entrance along Bayfront Avenue—Avenue Singapore delivers just enough glamour to keep things interesting.

Inside, the space is designed like an upscale penthouse. Plush custom banquettes, gilded metal mesh accents, and textured granite tabletops create a setting that’s intimate and luxurious, like the living room of someone who throws impeccable parties. Beyond that, the music is great, the cocktails are strong, and there’s enough going on to keep the night from plateauing after the first round. It’s a formula that has attracted its fair share of high-profile guests over the years, including the late Virgil Abloh and global pop star Jackson Wang.

So, how do you do it properly? Here’s how to make the most of Avenue for the ultimate girls’ night out.

The Music

For those who measure a night out by its playlist, Avenue’s regular rotation leans into hip-hop and R&B—reliably crowd-pleasing, especially when the room collectively screams a nostalgic chorus. Once a month, the Crossfade series brings in international guest DJs, shifting the tempo and offering something less predictable than your standard Top 40 set.

The Theme

Programming also shifts within the week, so there’s no shortage of options when planning a get together with the girls. Wednesdays are for Midweek Mystique, Avenue’s answer to a workweek pick-me-up. The girls however, will know it as Ladies’ Night, where small groups can settle in with sparkling wine while the evening plays out to a soundtrack of classic R&B and hip-hop hits.

On Thursdays, Avenue introduces VYBE, which leans into afrobeat, Latin rhythms, and the smooth basslines of Amapiano. Cocktails and bites riff on Afro- and Latin-inspired flavours, to complement the night’s theme. A tip for the girls—Thursdays come with added incentives for early arrivals.

Come the weekend, the lounge’s Friday Feels and Echo Saturday nights are filled with chart-topping tracks. This is when the dance floor comes alive and the room vibrates with the belts of a Top 40 tune (there is, after all, always that one song everyone knows word-for-word). Fridays also come with a Golden Hours perk—free-flow drinks and light bites for the ladies before midnight—making it the strategic choice for those who appreciate both a deal and a dance.

The Games

When your heels need a break from the dance floor, Avenue’s game rooms offer a refuge of some kind. A private section houses two mini bowling lanes, while the main lounge features a pool table, skee ball machines, and vintage arcade games.

It’s these details that turn a night out into something more memorable. Feeling competitive? Challenge someone to a game. Waiting for the next round? Settle an inside joke over skeeball. The built-in playfulness makes it easy to drift between dancing and downtime without losing momentum.
