After nearly three years since her solo debut, fans of Blackpink’s Lisa have reason to rejoice. The K-pop sensation is gearing up for a highly-anticipated return to the music scene.

Just days before, on 6 June, Lisa set the internet abuzz with speculation and excitement with a cryptic yet tantalising teaser shared on her Instagram stories.

The graphic which read “COMING SOON: LISA” seemingly signalled the imminent arrival of new music. The image appears to be a screen capture of the website lalisaofficial.com. On the website, there are also links for viewers to “pre-save on Spotify” and “pre-add on Apple Music”.

On the same day, Lisa also launched her individual TikTok page along with the upload of her first official TikTok video. The short video snippet, paired with a gritty synth beat titled “Coming Soon”, saw Lisa doing a fit check.

She wore trousers from Acne Studios, paired with a Gallery Department tee shirt, which made for a casual outfit suitable for the summer season.

With her individual TikTok account now, Lisa is the second Blackpink member to have established her own. The first to have done so was her bandmate Rosé.

On music, she previously made her solo debut with two singles, Lalisa (2021) and Money (2021). Both tracks were widely loved by her fans as well as the public.

A while later, Money was officially the first solo K-pop hit to surpass a billion streams on Spotify in 2023. And she made history by joining Spotify’s Billions Club.

She went on to establish her own management label LLOUD earlier this year. Months later, news also broke that she partnered with RCA Records, which allowed her to own her own music.
