No matter the actual quality of our eyelashes, one thing that all of us girls can agree on is that they could always do with a little boost. More women on the street are loving the look of falsies, and even going one step further to get lash extensions. And I can see why. Longer lashes give the illusion of larger eyes, and when they’re thick and spidery, it’s much easier to get wide, doll-like eyes. However, most of us have also heard about the potential issues that come with getting our lashes done. Some women have had to deal with droopy, thin lashes or even a loss of their natural lashes over time. That’s where Browhaus’s Lash Resurrection comes into the picture.

I admit, I have personally always thought that my own lashes were never short or stubby to begin with. Granted, they’re not earth-shattering, but not too shabby for natural lashes, if I do say so myself. So when I went into the Lash Resurrection treatment, I wasn’t sure if I would see actual results. But boy, was I wrong.

Before The Treatment

First things first, Lash Resurrection is not an extension session. This procedure focuses on stimulating hair growth along your lash line, by cleaning your pores and blowing a serum directly into your lash line. This simple regrowth process promotes faster and healthier lash growth, without any invasive procedures. Though not at all mandatory, Browhaus encourages everyone to undergo the procedure three times, at least, to see the full impact. And if you end up enjoying the results, the brand encourages you to visit them again every couple months to maintain the results. After all, just like the hairs on the head, our lashes fall out, and take about 6–8 weeks at the minimum to grow out.

Before the technician properly begins the procedure, she checks the current condition and length of both your upper and lower lashes. They do this at every appointment, to make sure that your lenses are really growing longer and thicker. Take this as an indication of how confident Browhaus is in their treatment. This step is great at identifying any problem “spots” along your lash line. For me, my inner corners, when compared to the outer thirds, looked sparse and short.

The Treatment

It all starts with clean lashes. After the technician clears your eye area and lash lines of any gunk buildup from the day, it’s time to begin. She gently lifts your lashes, before you feel a short burst of wind. That sensation is the follicles along your lash line being thoroughly cleaned. This step is just like other parts of your skincare ritual—it is crucial to have a clean base. Then you’ll feel a potent lash serum being applied to your lashes. From here, it’s rinse and repeat. The technician will follow the process across both eyes (duh!) and even get to your lower lashes, so you’ll have a balanced look.

Don’t worry though, while all of this is happening, all you need to do is relax. Lay back—literally, you’ll be lying down on the bed—and take this time to decompress. Let your mind wander as the magic happens. The more relaxed you are, the easier the treatment will be, since your eyelids won’t be fluttering from the technician’s touch!

The last step of the procedure is a warm eye mask that stays on your face for 10–15 minutes. This part helps with the absorption of the serum into your follicles for maximum impact. And that’s it, you’re all done.

Things To Note

While the treatment is completely painless, there are some moments of discomfort. The jet of air that comes with the serum along your lash line can be slightly irritating. But this isn’t a sign of the technician’s skill, trust me. It’s just something that can’t be helped, given that our eye area tends to be more sensitive to movement and disturbances.

One more thing: don’t wear contact lenses to your appointments. During the eye mask segment of the process, for the safety of your eyes, you’ll be required to take them out. So save yourself the hassle and rock those spectacles. If you truly can’t stand to be seen in public with your glasses though, fret not. Browhaus does have spare contact lens cases and sanitising liquid that you can use to temporarily store them.

Aftercare

After the session, the technician gives you some basic instructions about how to take care of your lashes. For the next few days, I was instructed not to wear eyeliner, false lashes and eyeshadow, so as to not risk any unnecessary product buildup on the lash line. We need to keep it clean so that the serum works to its maximum potential.

Browhaus also sells an accompanying Extend Lash & Brow Growth Serum that works wonders on your fresh new lashes. Since your lash follicles are now clear and sparkling, it’s the best time to apply an aftercare serum. This serum will help to just boost the effects of the treatment even more; the liquid works to promote hair growth. You just need to apply it once a day across your lash lines. I incorporated this into my daily nighttime skincare routine, and soon it was pure muscle memory.

The Results

Admittedly, I was initially sceptical about seeing results. But after three sessions of the Lash Resurrection, the difference was undeniable. Even after one session, I could see some growth, but it was after the third round that I was truly impressed by the results.

What’s there not to rave about? My lash line was much denser—no more bald spots—and the individual lashes also looked longer and thicker. Perhaps one of my favourite aspects of this treatment is the fact that it’s non-invasive, and pain-free. When it comes to the eyes, I tend to be picky with treatments. So the non-invasive aspect provides me with more reassurance and confidence.

Plus, I used the aftercare serum on my eyebrows, and saw more growth in my brows. A cherry on top!
