Ever since Trendmood practically broke Instagram with its post about Prada’s upcoming beauty line just three days ago, the fashion world has been abuzz with excitement about the newest edition to the luxury beautysphere. Well, wait no more, because today officially marks the launch of Prada’s new exquisite and meticulously crafted beauty collection. Known for its iconic designs, unparalleled craftsmanship and avant-garde approach, Prada has captured the hearts of fashion enthusiasts worldwide for over a century. Now, the brand is all set to conquer the beauty realm, promising to bring the same level of sophistication and innovation to the world of cosmetics. We’d expect nothing less – this is Prada, after all.
The Prada Beauty collection is a true testament to the brand’s longstanding commitment to excellence. Drawing inspiration from Prada’s heritage and iconic designs, the beauty line exudes the same refined elegance and fashion-forward sensibility that has become synonymous with the brand. Prada’s creative director, renowned designer Miuccia Prada, has personally overseen the development of the beauty line, ensuring that each product resonates with the brand’s signature aesthetics. “Abandoning all the clichés of the past, we believe that beauty today is the representation of one’s personality, freedom and self-confidence”, she and Raf Simons “jointly” said.
Not to mention the appointment of Lynsey Alexander as Global Creative Makeup Artist (she’s worked her makeup magic on everyone from Kate Moss to Kaia Gerber) and 3D makeup creator Ines Alpha as Global Creative E-Makeup Artist, who’s known for creating beauty looks using 3D software and augmented reality and who has just created the coolest Prada Beauty Insta filters. Only the best for Prada, obvs.
Launching with 13 lipsticks with two different finishes (hyper-matte and soft matte), there are also six eyeshadow palettes (each boasting three shades inspired by Prada prints, with different finishes to boot), the most luxurious of lip balms, a 33-shade strong foundation and a cleanser, serum and cream to ensure the best base and sensational skin for when your Prada makeup comes off. Plus, everything is sustainable, cruelty-free and housed in the chicest gold and silver packaging. Miranda Priestly would most definitely approve.
