Last night, as Hedi Slimane unveiled the Fall/Winter 2024 collection for Celine, the French photographer and grand couturier also told the world about a big secret he had been keeping: Celine Beauté. While the French luxury label had launched its haute parfumerie collection (once again thanks to Slimane) back in 2019, the creative director announced that Celine would officially be launching the first cosmetics line in its brand’s history.
Celine Beauté, on a mission to promote French femininity and magnetism, comes six years after the start of Slimane’s tenure at Celine and dives into the new codes that he developed for the maison. To tease the debut of Celine Beauté, Slimane gave us a sneak peek of what to expect from the cosmetics line. On the lips of the models that appeared in the La Collection De L’arc De Triomphe collection film directed by Slimane, was La Peau Nue, an understated nude hue that just whispers quiet luxury.
The classic Parisian satin-finish lipstick as seen on Celine’s models this season, which comes embossed with the house’s couture monogram, is one of 15 shades set for launch next January. For the impatient beauty buffs among us, you can first get your hands on Rouge Triomphe, the first shade that Celine is launching this Fall, in line with the main fashion collection.
Adopting the same savoir-faire from Celine’s jewellery, luxury objects and leather goods, the Le Rouge Celine marks the brand’s first venture into creating objects of desire through cosmetics. As with its fashion collections, Celine Beauté will be launching a new lineup of cosmetic products each season, including lipsticks, lip balms, blushes, mascaras and even nail polishes, to serve all the beauty rituals you heart desires.
