At this point, you wouldn’t be surprised to hear about yet another launch from seasoned collaborators Tiffany & Co and Daniel Arsham. But this time, there’s a catch—The Pokémon Company joins in on the fun as the trio drops a special edition jewellery capsule collection in celebration of Arsham’s exhibition in Japan, A Ripple in Time (which features Pokémon characters in Arsham’s signature fossilised, decaying style which he calls ‘Fictional Archaeology’).
So what Pokémons can aspiring trainers expect from the animated collection? The icons of the franchise: Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone, Mew, and, of course, Pikachu. Though be warned, these oxidized sterling silver pendant with diamond accents are predicted to fly off the shelves the minute the collection goes live in December.
“With my latest project with Tiffany, we’ve recontextualized Pokémon—a nod to my 2022 A Ripple
in Time project in Tokyo—to orchestrate a new narrative,” said Daniel Arsham. “With Pokémon
and Tiffany, itself, there’s a sense of cultural permanence about each.”
That said, the titular character of the show also gets special treatment this time round, as Pikuchu get the golden treatment as the collection boasts two additional 18K yellow gold pendants and necklaces of the beloved Pokémon as a nod to the character’s iconic yellow coat.
The Tiffany & Arsham Studio & Pokémon capsule collection will be available at the Tiffany & Co.
Landmark in New York City, Omotesando store in Tokyo and Tiffany.com in North America and
Japan this December.
