The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup final was the showcase of a talent, sport and skill in a tournament held in Australia and New Zealand across nine cities and 64 fixtures, all running on Hublot time. Hublot served as the tournament’s official timekeeper for the third time, clocking every nail-biting minute of every game, further proving the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s love of football and its support of the sporting world.
Each of the 107 match officials—including 33 referees, 55 assistant referees and 19 video match officials, (94 of whom are women)—were equipped with Hublot’s Big Bang e Gen3. The high-powered luxury smartwatch fuses the brand’s flagship Big Bang watch design with cutting-edge materials and the latest connected technology. Designed exclusively for officials, this edition features a number of special functions created to help them during the course of a game, such as monitoring yellow cards and added
time at the end of the game.

“It brings everyone at Hublot enormous pride to be serving as the tournament’s Official Timekeeper. Hublot will keep track of every minute of every match, feeling every breath, sensing every moment, from first to final whistle,” says Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe. “As ever, in the spirit of being first, different and unique, Hublot was the first luxury Swiss watch company to enter football and we continue to throw ourselves into developing it, particularly the women’s game.”
The Big Bang e Gen3 has been photographed worn by friends of Hublot who took part in this year’s Women’s World Cup: Spanish midfielder Alexia Putellas, Team USA striker Alex Morgan, Norwegian forward Ada Hegerberg, and French referee Stephanie Frappart.
