The eponymous brand created by watchmaking and watch design legend Gérald Genta will be revived this month at La Fabrique du Temps, the high watchmaking atelier of Louis Vuitton. The brains behind remarkable designs such as the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Patek Philippe Nautilus, IWC Ingenieur, and Bulgari Roma, Genta was recognised for his distinct employment of geometry and proportions.
Led by master watchmakers Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini and in collaboration with Genta’s widow and business partner, Evelyne, Gérald Genta will focus on high complications made in small quantities, with inspiration from Genta’s archives, which includes hundreds of designs that remained concepts.
