Enter: Ashna Mehta, a Dubai-based jewellery designer, who sported her brand’s take on bag charms—aptly named bag bijoux—on an orange Hermès Kelly clutch at the event. The accessories worn across the straps of the bag included blinged-out letters that spelt out her initials and one that featured an evil eye symbol.
This elevated version of the celebrity-favourite bag charm trend was a hit on social media, with Julia Chafé’s post quickly garnering global attention.
The initial-style bag bijoux is available on Mehta’s website with a choice between one or two letters. The design draws inspiration from fine jewellery and offers its wearers a unique way to personalise their favourite bags.
