The fashion month is coming to a close, but not without fanfare. Paris Fashion Week boasts over 70 shows on the schedule for the Fall/Winter 2025 season, along with a handful of highly-anticipated debuts. Haider Ackermann, Timothée Chalamet’s favourite designer, will present his first Tom Ford collection on 5 March. Ford himself is excited, saying, “I suspect that I will be the first on my feet to applaud after his show in March.” On the same day, Julian Klausner will make his first move as creative director of Dries Van Noten—a year after the beloved brand’s namesake founder announced his retirement. “[Julian] is not only a talented designer, but also a clear choice to take over after my departure,” said Van Noten. “His deep understanding of the brand and its values will ensure a seamless transition and a bright future.”

Former Alexander McQueen designer, Sarah Burton, also has big shoes to fill. She was named as the creative director of Givenchy last September, succeeding Matthew M. Williams. On helming the French couture house, Burton told WWD, “I am so excited to be able to write the next chapter in the story of this iconic house and to bring to Givenchy my own vision, sensibility and beliefs.”

Debuts aside, Paris Fashion Week promises to dazzle with shows from other major French fashion houses. Dior will kick things off on 4 March, and we can only wonder what creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri has up her sleeve this season. Chloé designer Chemena Kamali will likely continue to push her romantic, boho-chic agenda with a show on 6 March. Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski will continue to refine and refresh the Hermès woman’s wardrobe with the French luxury brand’s show on 8 March. The season will end with a bang or several, as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent present their collections on the final two days.

Then there are the cult favourites. Rick Owens and Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry will offer their two very different ideas of luxury and glamour with their shows on 6 March. Meanwhile, Demna will challenge the very ideas of luxury and glamour with his Balenciaga show on 9 March. Right before that, Alessandro Michele will continue to flaunt his eccentric maximalism at Valentino. And Jonathan Anderson will present his new Loewe collections for both men and women—not with a runway show, but with a presentation that explores “a new multidisciplinary format”.
