Onitsuka Tiger is set to present its latest runway show at Milan Fashion Week. The Japanese fashion brand will show its Spring/Summer 2025 collection at the Rotonda della Besana, a historic site in Italy marked by Baroque columns and arches.
Going by the show teasers on Onitsuka Tiger’s Instagram page, we could expect the venue to be made over in the brand’s signature yellow hue, similar to what it did for its Hôtel Onitsuka Tiger experience on Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris, during the Olympics.
As for the collection itself, Onitsuka Tiger creative director Andrea Pompilio has been leaning towards creating a sophisticated wardrobe for men and women, comprising sharp tailoring, versatile knitwear pieces, and statement coats with interesting fabrications, as we saw in Onitsuka Tiger’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection. Last season, Pompilio also introduced the Tiger Rodeo heels—a first for the Japanese brand that built its legacy on sneakers. Those shoes have been spotted on TWICE’s Momo, who is rumoured to grace Onitsuka Tiger’s latest presentation in Milan. As for the Asian celebrities who are confirmed to attend, they include Thai actress Baifern Bah, Malaysian stars Awal Ashaari and Scha Alyahya, and Singapore’s Benjamin Kheng.
How will Pompilio’s creative direction for the brand evolve this season? We will find out very soon. Onitsuka Tiger’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show takes place at 11pm on Wednesday, 18 September (Singapore time). Tune into the Onitsuka Tiger livestream below to get a glimpse of the new collection, straight from Milan Fashion Week.
