Mun Ka-young is always on the move. Since cutting her teeth as a child actress and model in the 2000s, Mun has been a mainstay in the acting world for close to two decades. Beloved in and outside of Korea, she has gained recognition for her resonant performance in dramas Heartstrings, True Beauty and Link: Eat, Love Kill. In business as one of South Korea’s top actors, Mun’s schedule is unsurprisingly packed to the brim, whether she’s on set for an upcoming drama or fuelling her love for fashion at glamorous events abroad. So it’s no wonder that the actor has once again joined hands with luxury American travel and lifestyle label Tumi for its new Voyageur Leather collection campaign.

In March this year, Mun was unveiled as the brand’s newest global ambassador, marking her partnership debut with the brand through its Asra collection campaign. Now, the global star is showing us her latest obsession yet: the new additions to the Voyageur Leather line. The Voyageur Leather range, as adopted and adored by Mun, showcases Tumi’s penchant for elevated minimalism. Case in point: the brand’s new T-logo hardware subtly finds its place across the collection’s leather goods, artfully balancing Tumi’s storied legacy of innovative, functional bags with the refined tastes of the modern jetsetter.

Lensed by celebrated photographer Kim Hee June, Mun channels feminine modernity as she effortlessly glides through Seoul, with Tumi’s latest leather goods in hand. From the structural form of the Raina Backpack to the carry-all functions of the Vail Medium Tote, Tumi marries functionality with the all-important element of style in this collection. Who says it has to be one of the other? The vibrant city of Seoul is shot with a burst of energy as Mun gives us a rare glimpse into the hustle and bustle of her life. She flows in and out of her busy day, armed with her custom embossed Tumi bags, which read MKY—short for Mun Ka-young. In the era of the girl boss, Mun is the go-getter who never lets the intensity of life get in the way of what truly matters to her.

For us, the must-have piece from the lineup is the Myla Crossbody bag. With enough room to quite literally compartmentalise all your everyday essentials, the Myla Crossbody proves that an organised purse is more than within reach. The main pockets are accessible via double zippers which run along the outer edge of the crossbody, while a small side slot makes quick payments and glam touch-ups on the go fuss-free. The Myla crossbody comes with two interchangeable and adjustable straps, so your bag can transition seamlessly from daytime to date night.

No matter if you’re preparing for a weekend getaway or a long day of rushing about town, trust that the sleek new iterations from the Voyageur Leather range will jazz up your look. The best example of this is Mun, whose personal style is elevated by the contemporary flair of Tumi’s latest offerings. The bags from the Voyageur Leather line are available in Black, with gold or gunmetal hardware, while the Pewter versions come adorned with gunmetal hardware, for a cool-girl aesthetic like no other.

While we love the enduring elegance of a black bag, there’s something about the metallic Pewter shade that feels lived-in and edgy. Crafted with high-quality leather, fret not, your new Tumi Voyageur Leather companion is no one-and-done bag. As with all of Tumi’s offerings, each model from the Voyageur Leather range is built to last. You’ll see.
