Lately, it seems like every fashion brand is offering some version of a sophisticated leather tote bag with a belt running through it. Moschino has now put its own playful spin on the silhouette in the form of the Tie Me bag.
The bag is designed by Moschino creative director Adrian Appiolaza, and was unveiled in his first collection for the Italian fashion brand, dubbed Collezione 0. The Tie Me bag’s name comes from the long belt that loops around the bag and cinches it. The belt can also be adjusted or removed, depending on how “snatched” you want the slouchy accessory to look.
On the runway, the Moschino Tie Me bag was showcased in the small size and the medium size. The latter was stuffed with mysterious papers—important documents, we can imagine—that demonstrated the Tie Me’s potential as the perfect work bag. Indeed, we can easily picture coming into the office wearing the accessory, which exudes grown-up elegance. The Moschino logo is discreetly embossed on the flap of the bag, a detail that quiet luxury fans will definitely appreciate. And for both the medium and the bigger ‘jumbo’ size, the bag’s top handle comes with a leather handle protector with snap buttons.
Here’s the best part: even in the generous jumbo size, the Moschino Tie Me bag remains lightweight thanks to its soft construction. The bag is crafted from supple leather; you can choose between styles in grained nappa leather, or velvety nubuck leather. This season, it is offered in neutral, office-friendly colours, namely black, dark brown and nude. But there is also a more casual version of the bag made of blue denim, which you can wear out on a date, or if you need an accessory to match your Y2K-inspired outfit.
The point is, the Moschino Tie Me bag will make a versatile addition to your wardrobe. Below, be inspired by Singaporean style stars like Savina Chow and Nicole Wong, who show off different ways to wear the bag.
The Moschino Tie Me bag is now available at the Moschino store in Marina Bay Sands.
