Following the likes of Fendi and Marni, Max Mara is set to stage its Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show. The Italian luxury brand will open day three of the Milan Fashion Week calendar; on the runway, we expect to see timeless and beautiful clothes by creative director Ian Griffiths.

Last season, Griffths looked to French novelist Colette for inspiration, drawing from her androgynous style and the silhouettes of the 1920s. Despite taking references from the past, the resulting collection felt fresh. The pieces were, truly, ready to wear: there is an ease to every Max Mara piece, even with the elegance it exudes.

At the helm of Max Mara, Griffiths manages to cut through the noise of Fashion Week, season after season, even while other fashion designers make their splashy debuts at some fashion houses, or stage huge, celebrity-filled spectacles at others. It likely comes with experience: the British designer has been designing for Max Mara for over 30 years now.

On Instagram, he shared a photo of a tranquil landscape including a row of trees and a lake, with the caption “We’ve been working all weekend on the Spring/Summer 2025 [collection] but this place de-stresses you. Being surrounded by beehives, vines and various bucolic activities keeps anxiety at bay #ilovemyjob.”

We will no doubt see Griffiths’s enthusiasm shine through at Max Mara’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show, which takes place at 3.45 pm on Thursday, 19 September (Singapore time). Tune into the Max Mara livestream below to get a glimpse of the new collection, straight from Milan Fashion Week.
