Nicolas Ghesquière has a knack for creating It-bags. Over the last decade, the French fashion designer has introduced bold and original accessories as the creative director of Louis Vuitton. That includes the Petite Malle and the GO-14, which have become prized possessions of bag collectors around the world.

Now Ghesquière might have another hit on his hands in the form of the Louis Vuitton LV Biker bag. The bag was unveiled at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show, for which Ghesquière explored the seemingly contradicting idea of “soft power”. Think of the contrast between the toughness of a leather jacket, and the comforting softness of its material.

The leather jacket served as the inspiration for the new Louis Vuitton LV Biker bag, which has a structured yet supple design. The bag features a distinctive, elongated silhouette with its sides tucked inwards. Its exterior is also outlined by belt-like leather trims.

And yet the LV Biker also boasts a laid-back, slouchy look, thanks to Louis Vuitton’s use of new leather techniques in crafting the bag. The French luxury brand has also introduced its new “Pixel” lambskin leather, which has a grained, two-toned finish.

Appearances aside, the LV Biker also has some practical touches. Its foldable construction pays homage to the versatility of Louis Vuitton’s beloved Speedy and Keepall bags. The bag can be carried by its top handles or its adjustable and removable leather shoulder strap.

The bag is offered in three sizes: Nano, PM and MM. The LV Biker Nano comes in Pixel Noir (black). The LV Biker PM, meanwhile, comes in Pixel Noir and Pixel Grège (a greyish beige hue). The LV Biker MM, the largest model, comes in Pixel Noir and Dark Denim (a bluish grey).

You can choose from those very rock and roll styles when the LV Biker bag launches in Louis Vuitton stores and on louisvuitton.com on 22 February. We wouldn’t want to miss that first release: the last time that Ghesquière designed a handbag inspired by biker jackets, he ended up creating an It-bag that reigned for a decade, and is still proving popular today.
