Fasten your seatbelts and stow your baggage—we’re heading to Avignon. Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections, continues his architectural odyssey with the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2026 show. Known for transforming iconic landmarks into fashion runways, Louis Vuitton is back with another outing. Previous Cruise collections have taken over modernist marvels like the Salk Institute in California and the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Brazil. For Cruise 2026, the French luxury house turns to the medieval grandeur of the Palais des Papes in Avignon—one of France’s most culturally rich and historic monuments.

The Gothic palace has long been a beacon of cultural exchange, housing contemporary art exhibitions. Spanning over 15,000 square metres, the UNESCO World Heritage site is now a stage for Louis Vuitton’s vision for the future.
For Cruise 2025, Louis Vuitton brought the runway to Singapore, presenting a repeat show at The Singapore Edition hotel. The collection drew on the richness of Spanish arts and culture, and the sculptural forms of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí’s works. This year, in the maison’s enduring spirit of travel, what will Ghesquière unveil against the towering medieval majesty of Avignon’s Palais des Papes?
