Longchamp’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, inspired by life in a studio, puts a refreshing spin on the classic workwear worn by artisans

After a summer spent in the countryside, the Longchamp woman has returned to the city. But while the previous season saw her honing her gardening skills, her avocation now leans towards the artisanal. Longchamp’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection celebrates the joys of making things the old-fashioned way—that is, with our hands.

“For Fall/Winter 2025, I really wanted to talk about craftsmanship and the know-how of artisans,” says Longchamp artistic director Sophie Delafontaine in an interview with GRAZIA Singapore. “In Paris, we have a lot of artisans, like those that work at the florist, the bakery, or cafés.”

Such artisans, and their utilitarian style, inform Longchamp’s offerings this season. Delafontaine imagines the Longchamp woman in her atelier in Paris, painting, drawing or sculpting clay to craft delightful ceramic pieces. What she wears is a refreshing take on workwear: think overalls in butter yellow or in striking stripes; a white scalloped shirt with billowing sleeves, resembling a painter’s smock; a poplin top with a bamboo clasp, borrowed from Longchamp’s Le Roseau bag; or a pair of pants with a geometric, Eiffel Tower-inspired print.

Longchamp x Constantin Collaboration

This season, the Longchamp woman also throws on a workwear jacket in ecru or bold, cobalt blue—a nod to the colours used by the French artist Constantin Riant, whom Longchamp has collaborated with for a capsule collection this season. “We are talking about artisans in Paris—and he’s really part of that scene,” says Delafontaine about the illustrator, painter and ceramist. “The idea of our collaboration was not only to introduce his paintings [to Longchamp customers], but also to talk about ceramics and the craftsmanship that goes into them.”

For the collaboration, Riant illustrated a special emblem that combines Longchamp’s unmistakable house codes. Some of the motifs include a needle and thread; a plane and a ship, alluding to the concept of travel; the Le Pliage bag; and leather-covered pipes, which are one of the first leather goods that the French brand offered when it was founded by Delafontaine’s grandfather, Jean Cassegrain, in 1948.

This emblem appears as a leather label across casual, everyday pieces including a sweatshirt, a T-shirt, a jacket, overalls and a new Longchamp Le Pliage tote bag. The pieces are crafted in cotton canvas— the favoured fabric of classic workwear—and are treated to develop a patina over time, making them truly unique.

Les Artisans de Paris silk scarf from the Longchamp x Constantin collection

Longchamp’s collaboration with Riant has also resulted in the Les Artisans de Paris silk scarf. Honouring the rich heritage of artisans in Paris, Riant created a whimsical scarf print depicting the typical shop fronts you would find in the Longchamp woman’s favourite city—like that of a baker, or a bookseller, or an upholsterer. In the centre of the scarf is a “maroquinerie”—French for a leather goods shop—that is proudly labelled with the Longchamp logo.

“At Longchamp, our vocation as a leather goods specialist means we have a deep affinity with other crafts,” says Delafontaine. “The Fall 2025 collection, in both ready-to-wear and accessories, bears the inimitable imprint of the human hand.”

That is something the Longchamp woman can appreciate, just like an artisan.

Longchamp x Constantin Pop-Up In Paragon

To celebrate its collaboration with Constantin Riant, Longchamp is bringing a slice of Paris to Singapore. The French fashion brand has launched a pop-up at Paragon Singapore, which is inspired by the timelessness of Parisian craftsmanship and the charm of the city’s neighbourhoods.

The pop-up is transformed with Riant’s whimsical illustrations as well as his signature shades of blue. You can enjoy complimentary coffee, pastries and flowers, or send postcards to their loved ones. You can also head up to Longchamp’s store (#02-40/41) to get a closer look at the Longchamp x Constantin collaboration. The Longchamp x Constantin pop-up runs until 19 June.
