Thanks to Kate Spade New York, flowers are blooming even in the fall.
Today, the American fashion brand launches its new Fall Pop-up at ION Orchard, which runs from 28 August to 11 September. You will spot the pop-up immediately at the Level 1 Atrium, thanks to the giant green flipboard that reads: “What Does Joy Mean To You”.
If you ask us, joy is definitely sparked by the Spade Flower Jacquard collection, which is showcased at Kate Spade New York’s vibrant pop-up. The bags in the collection are distinguished by a beautiful jacquard fabric with a geometric, floral design.
Jacquard is a special material: the pattern on the fabric is not printed but woven by hand with the use of a loom. The jacquards used throughout Kate Spade New York’s new collection are specially crafted in Limonta, a textile mill in Northern Italy that was founded in 1893. The mill boasts a vast textile archive that is one of the largest in Italy, and it houses over 15,000 jacquard designs dating back to the 20th century.
In Kate Spade New York’s new collection, the floral jacquard adds a striking touch onto various bag styles. There’s a ‘90s-chic shoulder bag that you can wear out on a date. There’s also a flap crossbody bag that is perfect if you’re spending the day out, say, café-hopping. The open tote bag, which comes in medium and large sizes, is a practical accessory made for the everyday. Besides being spacious, the bag can also be secured with a leather strap that wraps around it.
You can take your pick at Kate Spade New York’s Fall 2024 Pop-up. In fact, you’re spoiled for choice: exclusive to the pop-up, you will find the Spade Flower Jacquard bags in the exclusive black multi colourway. Those bags, crafted with black-on-black jacquard and black leather trims, will only be available to other Kate Spade New York stores after the pop-up ends.
Here’s another reason to shop at the pop-up: Customers who make a purchase will get a complimentary beaded phone charm that they can personalise.
Aside from shopping, there is much to see and do at Kate Spade New York’s pop-up. There are several interactive stations throughout the space, each revolving around joy. You and your friends can capture your stylish outfits at the photobooth, for example, or express your definitions of joy on the flipboard. If you visit all of the stations, you’ll also be treated to a free popsicle. How sweet is that?
