It’s the most magical time of the year—for shopping. We’re not just saying that because of all the fabulous, festive gifts that you can now find in stores. The stores themselves are a delight, especially those that have recently opened up around town. That includes Hermès’s refreshed, nature-inspired boutique at Takashimaya and Celine’s sleek and stylish space in ION Orchard. Below, we spotlight all the fashion stores that are worth a visit this holiday season.

Hermès has breathed new life into its boutique at the Takashimaya Department Store in Orchard. The store, which was first opened in 1993, now boasts an additional floor and a new look. The refreshed store design takes cues from the abundance of nature in Singapore: the cherry wood façade features cut-outs in the shape of leaves; the floor mosaic tiles at the entrance forms a water lily; woven rattan screens are set by windows; and botanical patterns adorn the store’s jacquard-wrapped walls. Besides Hermès’s extensive offerings across womenswear, menswear, jewellery, silk accessories, beauty and lifestyle, there’s also plenty of art to see in the stylish space. Photographs and paintings from Hermès’s private collection fill the store, including works that reference nature from François Houtin, Jules Léonard Schmitz, and Aurore Bagarry.

Burberry, Wisma Atria

After reopening its stores in Paragon and Marina Bay Sands, Burberry is rounding off the year by opening the doors to a brand new store in Wisma Atria. The Burberry store is set across one sprawling floor, and is the latest to reflect the store design overseen by the British fashion brand’s creative director, Daniel Lee (see: the chubby check-covered armchairs, and the hand-tufted rugs by British textile artist Tom Atton Moore). Notably, Burberry’s Wisma Atria store also draws plenty of inspiration from London’s storied buildings: the interiors features the use of Portland stone, which is prominently used in buildings around the English city, as well as the black cast iron railing that line traditional townhouses and landmarks like Westminster Abbey. The façade of the store is particularly impressive: the Burberry Equestrian Knight Design, set against a stained glass window in Knight Blue, makes the store hard to miss when you’re walking along Orchard Road. Head on inside the store to discover Burberry’s Spring 2025 collection, as well as new outerwear styles from the British fashion brand—as recently seen on Burberry ambassador, Bright Vachirawit.

A store adorned with steel, marble and mirrors has opened its doors in ION Orchard—which, to fashion fans, means that Celine has a new outpost. The French luxury brand has stayed true to the sleek store design that was introduced by former creative director Hedi Slimane in 2019, with some unique touches added around the boutique. Passers-by can look in via the façade’s curved glass window, and eye the slab of Calacatta Oyster marble that is exclusively used within the Singapore store. By the entrance, you will notice the counter dedicated to the newly-launched Celine Beaute line, which currently comprises the brand’s first-ever lipstick in the shade “Rouge Triomphe”, as well as luxurious lip brushes in gold, and monogrammed cosmetic pouches. Inside the store, visitors can peruse Celine’s womenswear, menswear, shoes, perfumes, and leather goods—including Celine bags in exotic leathers, which you can personalise with one of the fashion brand’s statement bag charms. Those exotic leather bags are exclusive to Celine’s ION Orchard store within Singapore; the boutique is also the only one in the world to offer the Mini Chain Besace Clea bag in Niloticus crocodile leather. Another highlight is the private lounge tucked away in the store, where clients can relax on fuzzy chairs, and contemplate the custom cardboard sculpture by Dutch artist Machteld Rullens created for the Celine Art Project.
