Ferragamo has teased its Spring/Summer 2025 show with a video of a twirling ballerina’s foot, clad in a ballet flat. The dancer’s shoe is intertwined with the legacy of the Italian fashion brand: it was in 1954 that founder Salvatore Ferragamo introduced ballet flats, which were worn by Hollywood legends like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Greta Garbo.
Today, Ferragamo continues to offer some of the finest ballet flats around. Last season, creative director Maximilian Davis introduced the Zina shoes with a new Vara metal buckle. They were added to his wardrobe for the Ferragamo woman for Fall/Winter 2024, which celebrated self-expression and drew inspiration from the glamorous styles of the 1920s.
At Milan Fashion Week, Davis is set to present his latest collection for Ferragamo, offering his vision of modern-day elegance. We could expect to see some fresh iterations of the luxury brand’s Hug Bag, and of course, those ballet flats.
Ferragamo’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show takes place at 5.30 pm on Saturday, 21 September (Singapore time). Tune into the Ferragamo livestream below to get a glimpse of the new collection, straight from Milan Fashion Week.
