This October, you will be spoilt for choices of accessories to add to your wardrobe. Among them is the Dior Caro Backpack, which has already proven to be one of the most desirable bags of the season, and has been worn by our favourite stylish celebrities. MCM has refreshed its bestselling bags and accessories with a powder pink monogram, and it has launched a dedicated pop-up in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Quiet luxury fans can turn to the French brand Polène, which has updated one of its signature styles—expect to see reviews on Tiktok soon. And you can upgrade your airport fashion game with the new Rimowa Hybrid Cabin, which now comes in a beautiful hue. Read on for GRAZIA Singapore’s The Hot List, where we spotlight all the best bags, collections, collaborations that are launching in October 2024.
Dior Caro Backpack
It’s been a hot minute since a backpack got us this excited. For Cruise 2025, Dior has unveiled the new Caro Backpack—a bag that’s both utilitarian and ultra-chic. The accessory, as with the other leather goods in the Dior Caro line, is named after Christian Dior’s sister, Catherine. The Dior Caro Backpack is crafted from leather featuring the maison’s signature macrocannage motif—which first graced the iconic Lady Dior handbag—as well as metal hardware of the letters “CD”, nodding to the French fashion brand’s founder. Blackpink’s Jisoo, NewJeans member Haerin, and GRAZIA Singapore cover star Tu Tontawan have both been spotted with the bag, which is now available in Dior stores. The Dior Caro Backpack comes in small and medium sizes, and in three colours: black, powder beige and denim blue.
MCM Powder Pink Collection
This October, MCM has unveiled its Powder Pink Collection, comprising its signature bags, like the Himmel shopper tote and the Ella Boston, refreshed with powder pink versions of the German luxury brand’s iconic Visetos and Lauretos monogram. There are also accessories like animal bag charms, scarves and AirPods Pro cases in the mix. The collection takes the spotlight at MCM’s Powder Pink Pop-Up at Marina Bay Sands, which runs until 20 October. From now until 13 October, shoppers will be treated to popsicles if they follow @mcmworldwide on Instagram. And from 14 to 20 October, the pop-up will also offer personalised services for your MCM purchases. Above all, the pop-up comes with a powerful cause. As it takes place in October—which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month—the fashion brand will be contributing 10 per cent of all proceeds at the pop-up to the Singapore Breast Cancer Foundation. Discover the pop-up at #B2-K16, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Rimowa Hybrid Cabin
Rimowa’s lightweight Hybrid Cabin now comes in a light colour: lilac. The German luxury brand has introduced the soft purple hue for its Hybrid suitcase collection this season, which also includes the larger Hybrid Check-in. The Hybrid Cabin, which has enough space for a four-day trip, is crafted with a polycarbonate shell that now shines in glossy lilac purple. It also comes with functional features like latch locks (which are TSA-approved, if you’re flying into the US) and Rimowa’s signature multi-wheel system, which makes the suitcase easy to move around.
Puma Speedcat Archive
The Puma Speedcat sneakers are making a major comeback in 2024, and it’s easy to see why. The shoes were first created in 1999, and their design is based on the fireproof footwear worn by Formula One race car drivers in the ’80s and ’90s. Clearly, they’re still fire: since Puma re-released the Speedcats in their original black and red colourways in June, the sneakers have been spotted on celebrities like Dua Lipa, Blackpink’s Rosé and Emily Ratajkowski. From October 12, you’ll have even more styles to choose from with the launch of the Puma Speedcat Archive, which comes with suede finishes and two different editions: Light Blue/Navy and Haute Coffee/Frosted Ivory. Discover the new sneakers on puma.com and selected Limited Edt stores in Singapore.
Polène Nodde Hobo Bag
The Polène Nodde bag has been reimagined in a new silhouette: a hobo. The aptly named Nodde Hobo also features the symmetrical, interlocking leather façade that is seen on the Nodde, but it comes with a new tapered design. The Polène Nodde Hobo bag is crafted from luxurious Italian leather using a classic assembly technique. It comes with nifty features, like a leather-covered ring, from which you can hang your favourite bag charms, and an adjustable strap that lets you carry the bag as a shoulder bag or a crossbody. Currently, the new Polène Nodde Hobo comes in both classic and seasonal colours: Cognac, Black, Root, Stone, Black Cherry and Ebony.
