Emily Blunt and her stylist have been working overtime lately. From her 2024 Oscars red carpet moment in Schiaparelli Haute Couture to her Vanity Fair after-party Dolce & Gabbana look, the actress has been killing it. And now, her streak continues at the SXSW festival, where she stunned in a surprising outfit choice.
Standing out against the bright yellow media wall, Blunt posed for photos in a harlequin-style look courtesy of Balmain‘s Pre-Fall 2024 collection. Styled by Jessica Paster, she wore the black-and-white diamond print knit crop cardigan top, which also featured large enamel buttons down the centre, with its coordinating padded shoulder jacket.
And though the 41-year-old endured the 2000s firsthand—and managed to make it through them with her brows intact and no tramp stamp tattoos—it seems the millennial is down to experiment with the returning low-rise trend that has divided the world for the last few years. Paired with black wide-leg trousers that sat around her hips, Blunt showed off her toned midriff for the occasion.
Blunt kept her blonde hair pulled back, letting her statement gold chainlink earrings and fresh, bronzed makeup stand out.
A festival of panels, premieres, conferences and performances, the Oppenheimer star made an appearance at SXSW to promote her upcoming film, The Fall Guy. On the red carpet, she posed with her co-star Ryan Gosling.
