Just two days after the showing of its menswear Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Dior is returning to fashion’s forefront with the Dior Women Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024 show later today. But despite a packed showing schedule and a rotation of celebrity guests like Blackpink’s Jisoo, Cha Eunwoo and Mile Phakphum attracting worldwide attention to their runways, the maison’s sartorial excellence has been present in every collection, and this one will be no exception.
Case-in-point: the French label’s Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture show that happened earlier this year. Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri reimagined emblematic designs from the house’s archives—think the La Cigale dress from 1952 and the Miss Dior dress—in bold new colourways punctuated with intricate beading, lace and ribbons.
The result? A series of dresses, trench coats and skirt suits with bold structural silhouettes juxtaposed by romantic images of birds and flowers in the detailing, reflecting the Dior woman as conceived by Chiuri: independent and powerful, yet unapologetic in her femininity.
Beyond the collection, the show was a full visual experience, with an installation of 23 dresses carried out by the Chanakya ateliers spanning the showroom’s walls.
