As the Fall/Winter 2026 edition of Haute Couture Week draws closer, all eyes are on Dior. The anticipation builds not only because of Dior’s Haute Couture heritage—it’s one of the few houses to occupy a permanent place on the prestigious calendar—but also because the maison’s couture arm just added a very high-profile notch to its belt.
As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden nuptials overtook headlines and social feeds this weekend, Dior confirmed that the couple’s wedding looks were haute couture creations designed by Jonathan Anderson. Swift thus becomes the first major celebrity to become a Jonathan Anderson Dior bride, and by designing the wedding dress of the year, Anderson has drawn significantly more eyes to his upcoming couture collection, set to be unveiled tonight.
Aside from the A-list implications, every Dior Haute Couture collection adds to an already prestigious history of savoir-faire and design. Anderson has a knack for weaving the maison’s history with modern-day cultural references—earlier this year, Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture collection explored archival codes and natural forms, from floral and grass-like embroidery to a runway ceiling blanketed with cyclamens. The show also drew inspiration from the anthropomorphic sculptures of Magdalene Odundo, most evident in the unusual, bulbous shapes of the three opening looks.
For this upcoming collection, Anderson seems to be following a similar formula of blending nature-inspired details with artistic forms. The show’s teaser image depicts a thicket of deep green ferns, suggesting a more vegetal, tropical take on Anderson’s usual florals; the designer’s Instagram page spotlights artist Lynda Benglis, famed for her unusual, three-dimensional take on painting. The American artist is best known for her “pours”: abstract artworks in the vein of Jackson Pollock, in which Benglis drips vividly-coloured liquid latex and rubber onto canvases, floors, and walls. Benglis’ other notable works are also a riot of colour and texture, from glittery wire mesh to pastel-coloured beeswax and porcelain.
It remains to be seen how these influences will translate into a Haute Couture collection—but we’ll hazard a guess that Anderson will put a more experimental, abstract spin on Dior’s usual style codes.
