This June will mark one year since Jonathan Anderson began his tenure as the global creative director of Dior. To say that his first year at the maison has passed by in a whirlwind would be an understatement—Anderson has definitively made his mark on the house, having presented no less than five runway collections for menswear and womenswear combined. The end of this first chapter at the maison, ironically, comes with yet another debut: his first ever Cruise collection for Dior, set to be presented live from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

It looks like the designer will be turning to the past for inspiration for this collection, something which he has been wont to do during his time at Dior. This time, though, instead of confining himself to the maison’s archives, Anderson seems to be taking cues from the noir glamour of Hollywood’s Golden Age. The black-and-white teaser video stars Irish actress Alison Oliver (of Wuthering Heights and Saltburn fame) styled in a distinctly 1940s manner—from some angles, she’s the spitting image of Ingrid Bergman, while from others, she recalls the cool elegance of Grace Kelly. Other clues revealed on Anderson’s social media pages all point to a collection rooted in Old Hollywood, from an invitation bearing a Chateau Marmont letterhead to a biography of Scotty Bowers (a Hollywood trailblazer, of sorts—we’ll let you do your own research on his exploits).
Set to be presented in Los Angeles, the show also promises a star-studded crowd of attendees. Blackpink’s Jisoo is expected to make an appearance, as is Hyunjin of Stray Kids. Tune in below on Thursday, 14 May at 10:45 am (SGT) to catch a glimpse of Jonathan Anderson’s vision for Dior Cruise 2026/27.
