Following Chanel’s fashion show in Marseille, Gucci’s show in London, and Louis Vuitton’s presentation in Barcelona, Dior is the next fashion brand to venture beyond its base to showcase its Cruise 2025 collection.
This time, the French luxury brand is heading to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Specifically, Dior has chosen the gardens of the Drummond Castle as the location of its upcoming fashion show. The decision would have pleased Christian Dior himself, as the fashion designer was known for his love for nature, flowers and gardening. The gardens of Drummond Castle are known as one of the most impressive formal gardens in Scotland, dating back to the 17th century.
The choice of venue also nods to Dior’s connection with Scotland. The fashion brand’s founder had previously staged his Spring 1955 collection at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, located at the heart of Scotland. And, even before that, the couturier’s debut collection from 1947 featured a look called “Écosse”—the French word for Scotland.
