From the mid-20th century, when the snowy slopes of St. Moritz and Aspen became the destination du jour for stylish holidayers, Chanel saw the potential of luxury fashion in après-ski. After all, maintaining a sense of style while facing up to the elements was no simple feat. As an avid skier herself, Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel ensured chalets all over the globe felt the transformative effects of her bold sartorial sedition. Since then, the house has continued to innovate and elevate the world of winter sportswear, culminating in a Coco Neige 2024/2025 collection that’ll have you booking flights ASAP.

Shot by the legendary Juergen Teller at the famed 31 rue Cambon, the new campaign reveals itself amid the treasures of the founder’s apartment. Within its Art Deco walls, model Loli Bahia moves through the rooms with ease, embodying the effortless elegance and contemporary allure of Parisienne style. The choice of location, with its instantly recognisable mirrored staircase, was chosen for its disparity from this attitude. In the juxtaposition between the hallowed halls of 31 rue Cambon and Bahia’s nonchalance, the collection’s bold reimagining of the House’s cherished codes is amplified through a modern duality.

Furthering this contrast, the Maison explores the aesthetic of the 1970s through the lens of haute functionality, merging retro opulence with pioneering technology. As Bahia poses along the iconic staircase of the 18th-century structure, we see this in her quintessential Chanel look: a down jacket crafted from high-performance fabric, lined with braid detailing that enhances its sleek silhouette. Underneath, a fine-knit sweater peeks through, complemented by white denim fastened with a signature jewelled button for durability that doesn’t compromise elegance.

Throughout the collection, trompe-l’œil technical fabrics evoke the luxurious textures we’ve come to expect on Chanel’s runway. A suede-effect ensemble, comprised of a bralette, skintight leggings and a zip-up jacket, is actually crafted from jersey—a house-exclusive fabric.

Elsewhere, a black corduroy jumpsuit offers a chic, all-in-one solution for both the slopes and après-ski.

Against the famed painted walls that have watched over people like Salvador DalíElizabeth Taylor and countless other notable figures, Bahia unabashedly stands with skis draped in layers of jewellery.

In another shot, the model lounges in a navy technical jacquard ski jacket and trousers—a look that commands both comfort and sophistication.

With a palette that echoes the apartment’s neutral interiors, pieces in velvet-effect coated canvas evoke the elegance of Gabrielle Chanel’s defiant sensibilities.

Bahia’s insouciant poses also capture the playful spirit behind Coco Neige.

As she stretches out on the floor, legs overhanging, she models a cashmere and silk set printed with blurred camellias that mimic clouds and Chanel’s double C logo in sorbet hues.
