How would you describe yourself in three words?

Jermaine Ho (JH): Driven, passionate, and reckless.

How did you find your niche?

JH: As I got older, I discovered a deep love for fashion, particularly the creative process behind designs, the textures of different fabrics, and the intricate details that elevate an outfit.

Do you respond to trends or do your own thing?

JH: I would say I definitely keep an eye on trends but I always inject my own unique style and personal touches into everything I wear.

What is your idea of cool?

JH: Owning your vibe is cool to me. And anyone with a strong personality and individuality that makes them stand out.

How do you stay creative and keep evolving?

JH: I’m constantly inspired by the media I consume and the things I see around me.

How do you deal with competition?

JH: It’s tough, but to me a strong vision and personal brand is a powerful tool for navigating competition. It helps me stay focused and true to myself.

Does being publicly visible motivate you or scare you? How do you handle criticism?

JH: Putting myself out there can be a bit nerve-wracking, but expressing myself through my work and style feels so much more natural. It can be scary because I’m not super vocal, but I’d prefer to express myself through my craft instead. Unsolicited opinions are bound to be made, but as long as they’re constructive, I just keep doing my thing and keep getting better.

What are some new things that you’ve been trying out?

JH: I’m making a conscious effort to create more of a two-way conversation with my audience. I’m actively listening to their thoughts and ideas on top of sharing my own.

What excites you?

JH: I’m constantly energised by new perspectives and innovative ideas. Looking abroad at how different cultures approach branding, marketing, and product development is exciting for me. They keep me inspired and hungry for new creative directions.

What is a motto that you live by?

JH: Everything in time; your efforts pay off eventually.
