As the global brand ambassador of Saint Laurent, Rosé of Blackpink boasts an impressive collection of designer bags from the French luxury house that all of us can only dare to dream of. She’s certainly got a bag for every occasion: she sports the Kaia Satchel for a girl’s night out in Paris, the June micro box to attend Paris Fashion Week and the Le Monogram Coer bag for a weekend shopping spree.

Rosé has recently added one new arm candy to her bag rotation: the Saint Laurent Calypso bag that was first unveiled in spring 2023. This season, Saint Laurent has hopped onto the big bag bandwagon. The Calypso bag has been reimagined in a larger size and a new material. Aside from plunged lambskin and patent leather, it is now fashioned in grained lambskin leather that enhances the soft silhouette of the bag while maintaining the supple shape and iconic quilting.

The triangular front flap emblazoned with the Cassandre signature in light bronze brings to mind the house’s line of envelope bags which made their debut in the 1960s. While the designs are similar, the Calypso bag boasts a more spacious interior all thanks to its padded quilting and supple leather. For a K-pop star like Rosé who’s always on the road, the Calypso bag functions not only as the perfect everyday bag but doubles as a carry-on bag. Just last month, the songstress was spotted donning the Calypso large in grained lambskin when she landed at Incheon airport after visiting Los Angeles for the 2024 Oscars.

The Calypso bag is available in three neutral colours: black, light musk and blanc vintage. It can be worn in two ways, either as a crossbody or shoulder bag.
