Blackpink’s Jisoo Stars In Her Edgiest Lady Dior Campaign Yet

Dressed in all black, the K-pop star channels a “punk spirit” for her new Dior campaign

Jisoo may be a K-pop star, but she has all the aura of a rockstar. That much is clear from the new Lady Dior campaign, fronted by the Blackpink singer.

In the new images shot by Bibi Borthwick, Jisoo embodies the punk attitude of Dior’s Cruise 2025 collection. The South Korean singer is seen wearing an array of black outfits, including pieces like a corset-like top with ties at the back, a pleated skirt with metal embellishments, a zipped mini dress and fishnet socks all designed by Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The bags that Jisoo flaunts are just as edgy: there’s the new Lady Dior bag covered in metallic studs, and another style that recreates the bag’s famous Cannage motif using silver grommets. In one image, Jisoo models a Small Lady Dior bag in Black Ultramatte, while sporting a pair of black sunglasses that wraps all around her face and which makes her gaze impenetrable.

Throughout the campaign, which Dior describes as being “suffused with rock vibes”, Jisoo looks graceful as usual, staying true to the essence of the Lady Dior bag. The handbag is named after Princess Diana, who established the Dior accessory as an instant classic when she first wore it in 1995. Since then, the bag has been reimagined in new colours, sizes and fabrics—as seen in Jisoo’s new Dior campaign.

It’s been a busy year for Jisoo: the Dior global brand ambassador has fronted an array of new campaigns from the French luxury brand, for both its make-up and fashion launches. The Flower singer first became a Dior Beauty ambassador in 2019, and was later named a global ambassador for both fashion and beauty in 2021. The South Korean star is part of the maison’s international roster of ambassadors, which also includes celebrities like Rosalía, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jimin of BTS and NewJeans’s Haerin.

Jisoo might be rubbing shoulders with her fellow Dior ambassadors soon. The maison is set to showcase its Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. And given that the Blackpink star has been steadily attending the brand’s fashion shows, who’s to say we won’t see her on the front row this season? Perhaps she will take the new Lady Dior bag with her.
