On top of her talents as a singer and actress, Ally Nitibhon has been on our radar for another reason: her fabulous sense of style. Ally has “it”, and it’s no wonder why the French luxury brand Chanel officially named the Thai star as a brand ambassador this year.

When she’s not toting a Chanel bag, Ally shows off her cool girl taste with her personal collection of bags from independent, if-you-know-you-know fashion labels from Asia.

Looking to refresh your closet and find a new accessory to adorn with your favourite bag charms? Ahead, GRAZIA Singapore spotlights the cult-favourite bag brands that Ally Nitibhon cannot get enough of.

Muse On The Move may be best known for its personalisable iPhone cases and colourful AirPods cases, but the Bangkok-based label also offers an array of fashion accessories crafted from vegan leather. That includes a heart-shaped coin pouch, a sleek flap shoulder bag, and the Recty East-West handbag—which Ally has added to her personal bag collection.

Garmenti is another Thai fashion label that is on Ally’s radar. The brand was launched in 2021 by Thai fashion designer Sireethorn Amornnuratkul, who has a knack for creating functional bags that women love. Some of Garmenti’s bestsellers so far include the Gyoza Bag, a dumpling-shaped shoulder bag that now comes in pretty pastels; the practical Daily Tote Bag, which has plenty of space; and the Carry All handbag, as seen on Ally, which features knotted handles and a striking silhouette. Garmenti’s bags come in an array of bold colours and are crafted by the brand’s Thai team using locally-sourced materials.

Rally Movement has been around for a while. Since the Bangkok-based fashion brand was founded in 2017 by Apipan M. and Nithit W., it has put a fun spin on the city girl’s wardrobe with its line-up of jeans, dresses and tops. Rally Movement stuck to its cool girl aesthetic when it launched its first bag in 2023, dubbed “Rally The Bag”. The bucket bag, distinguished by the brand’s logo, was an instant hit. Rally Movement has since introduced many variations of its It-bag, such as the Rally The Bag Whisper spotted on Ally. The compact accessory comes with both a short strap and a long, adjustable strap, so you can carry it however you want.

You may recall Gentlewoman’s viral logo tote bag, which was especially popular in 2023 among Singaporean tourists who paid a visit to the brand’s stores in Bangkok. The Thai fashion brand has proven itself to be more than a one-tote-wonder: on top of playful ready-to-wear and cutesy fashion accessories, Gentlewoman has plenty of chic bags to choose from, including boxy totes, duffel bags and moon-shaped handbags. Fans of the coquette aesthetic will want to get their hands on the Ballerina Bag, which is inspired by the whimsical charm of ‘80s weddings. The bag comes in soft, girly hues like pink and cream, and fabrics like lace and suede. If you want to stand out, make like Ally and go for the bag in bold red suede.

On top of supporting homegrown Thai fashion brands, Ally Nitibhon also has an eye for regional labels. Case in point: she is a fan of the South Korean brand Stand Oil, whose range of trendy shoes, bags and accessories have won over K-pop stars including Le Sserafim’s Yunjin and Red Velvet members Seulgi and Wendy. The arm candy to have is Stand Oil’s Chubby Half Bag, a mini version of the brand’s cult-favourite Chubby Bag. As seen on Ally, the bag features exterior pockets and “chubby” top handles from which you can hang all your keychains and Labubus and whatnot.
