We are just mere weeks away from the start of the Paris 2024 Olympics! No matter your interest in competitive sports, once every four years, it seems that the entire world becomes obsessed with watching the Games. Whether you’re in it for the action, the patriotism or you’re a casual watcher who can’t stand to suffer from major FOMO, the Olympics is perhaps one of the world’s most exciting sporting events.

For the 2024 edition of the Olympic Games, it will take place in Paris, France, and features 32 sports on the programme lineup. Amongst the new sports and events, breaking (or breakdancing, as it’s more commonly regarded) will be making its Olympic debut this year in Paris. The Paris 2024 Olympic opening ceremonies will take place on 27 July, with closing ceremonies happening on 12 August. From Team Singapore, sprinter Shanti Pereira and sailor Ryan Lo will be representing all the athletes from Singapore, as flagbearers at this year’s ceremonies. As for the Paralympics, the Games will begin starting 29 August, and things will wrap up on 9 September.
