Netflix’s annual fan event Tudum returned in spectacular fashion at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles—and it didn’t hold back. Hosted by Sofia Carson, the 2025 edition delivered major reveals across the streamer’s biggest franchises and upcoming titles.
Whether it was the surprise casting of Lady Gaga in Wednesday Season 2, the long-awaited return of Stranger Things, or fresh footage from Knives Out’s next mystery, fans were treated to a non-stop rollout of headline-grabbing moments.
Here are the biggest takeaways from Tudum 2025.
Lady Gaga Joins Wednesday Season 2
If anyone could rival Wednesday Addams’ dark allure, it’s Lady Gaga. The Grammy and Oscar winner was unveiled as the newest cast member of Wednesday Season 2. Gaga is set to play Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious new teacher at Evermore Academy with a shadowy past and powers that might rival Wednesday’s own. Naturally, the casting sent the internet into a frenzy.
She made her Wednesday reveal in classic theatrical fashion—emerging from a coffin labelled “Here Lies the Monster Queen.” What followed was a hair-raising performance of Zombie Boy, Bloody Mary, and Abracadabra, set against a lavishly gothic stage. Dressed in a custom goth-couture gown, Gaga recreated the viral Season 1 dance to The Cramps’s Goo Goo Muck. We get the hint that moody mischief is upon us this monstrous new season.
Wednesday Season 2 will be released in two parts. The first part will be released on 6 August and the second part on 3 September.
Stranger Things Season 5 Gets A Release Date
After two years of speculation, Stranger Things fans finally have a date to mark. Season 5 of the chilling series marks the final chapter of the Duffer Brothers’ era-defining series. Netflix Tudum 2025 gave audiences a shadowy teaser of Hawkins’ last stand, with Eleven, Mike, and the gang facing off against what appears to be their worst nightmare yet. The stakes are sky-high, and the Upside Down is closing in.
Stranger Things Season 5 will be released on Netflix across three premiere dates. Four episodes will be released on 26 November, three episodes on 25 December, and the finale episode on 31 December.
One Piece Live-Action Teases Tony Tony Chopper
Following the breakout success of its debut season, Netflix’s One Piece live-action series is officially setting sail again. The cast: Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar, took to the stage to unveil what’s next. The biggest reveal? Fan-favourite character Tony Tony Chopper is finally joining the crew in Season 2.
The adorable, blue-nosed reindeer doctor will be voiced and facial-captured by Guardians of the Galaxy actress Mikaela Hoover. Fans were also treated to a first-look preview of the new season, complete with a glimpse of Chopper in action.
One Piece Season 2 will officially premiere on Netflix in 2026.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s The Rip Revealed

Longtime collaborators Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are back at it—this time as producers and stars of The Rip, a high-stakes crime thriller. The duo made a surprise appearance at Tudum 2025, joining the rest of the cast to tease what’s to come.
Set in Miami, the story follows a tight-knit team of cops who stumble upon millions in hidden cash. As greed creeps in, trust begins to fracture—pushing each officer to question where loyalty really lies.
