Sunset Boulevard
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s latest musical masterpiece brings forth the golden age of Hollywood glamour. Set in the heart of Tinseltown, Webber’s Sunset Boulevard tells a contemporary tale of discarded silent movie star Norma Desmond, on her desperate attempt to return to the Hollywood limelight. Crossing paths with Joe Gillis, the two then embark on a passionate yet toxic love affair that ultimately leads to a tragic conclusion. Based on the 1950s film of the same name, this new adaptation brings together Broadway royalty Sarah Brightman and Tim Draxl in the roles of the two star-crossed lovers. Don’t miss your chance to witness this spellbinding tale of fame, obsession, and heartbreak.
Sunset Boulevard will take centre stage at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands from 7 to 23 February 2025.
Phantom Of The Opera
Another classic Webber production, Phantom Of The Opera, is making its highly-anticipated stop in Singapore, ready to mesmerise the audience with a haunting tale of love and obsession. Originally adapted in 1986, the timeless musical stars Jonathan Roxmouth as the enigmatic Phantom and Grace Roberts as Christine. The story unfolds as a mysterious and disfigured music teacher becomes dangerously obsessed with his student protégé, setting the stage for a romance that defies reason and leads to catastrophe. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful literary pieces ever produced, Phantom Of The Opera won a Golden Globes award for Best Picture and Best Original Song in 2005, solidifying its place in musical history.
Phantom Of The Opera opens 9 May to 1 June 2025 at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands.
Lord Of The Rings: The Musical Tale
J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord Of The Rings arrives on the Singapore stage—this time, through an all-new musical rendition. As foretold by the famed trilogy, audiences are transported back to Middle-earth, journeying alongside Rarmian Newton’s Frodo Baggins, as he ventures off to return a dark and all-powerful ring to the treacherous realms of Mordor. Produced by Kevin Wallace Productions and Middle-earth Enterprises (MEE), the show is hailed as “a visual marvel” by Broadway World—featuring musical score by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman, Finnish folk band Värttinä, and Tony Award winner Christopher Nightingale.
Lord Of The Rings: The Musical Tale will be playing from 12 to 24 August 2025 at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands.
