Riding on the mega success of KPop Demon Hunters on Netflix, Hybe America has recently announced an über exciting partnership with Paramount Pictures. The two entertainment giants are set to collaborate on another K-pop themed film, set for release in 2027. While the movie’s title remains under wraps for now, fans from all over the world are already buzzing with excitement.

It’s not hard to see why. Jiyoung Yoo, the voice actor behind the animated, bubbly Zoey from Kpop Demon Hunters, has been confirmed to lend her voice once to this untitled film. K-pop veteran Eric Nam will also be voicing one of the show’s lead characters.
With years of industry experience behind them, fans are excited to see what Hybe brings to the upcoming film. For those unfamiliar with the K-pop scene, Hybe is the entertainment conglomerate responsible for some of K-pop’s most successful groups, including BTS, Le Sserafim and TXT. Though currently embroiled in messy lawsuits, girl group NewJeans also belongs to the Hybe group, under its subsidiary Ador.
Kpop Demon Hunters took over the internet when it was released on 20 June 2025 globally on Netflix. It captivated not just existing K-pop fans but also became a viral sensation. But it wasn’t just netizens who couldn’t get enough of Huntrix and the Saja Boys. The track Golden has been covered by K-pop idols, like Ive’s Yujin, Mamamoo’s Solar and veteran idol Bada from S.E.S., who have been equally obsessed with the show. One of our favourites is by Ailee, who took to her YouTube account to cover the emotional—and technically challenging—track.

Former Monsta X member and now solo artist Wonho even posted a dance cover of Soda Pop on his Tiktok, much to the delight of his dedicated fans. With his bright energy, pink hair and washboard abs, his get-up of Abby from Saja Boys—dare we say—broke the internet. Saja Boys and Huntrix, in spite of their fictional status, took over music charts all over world, even beating out actual musicians on Spotify and Billboard.
And since Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung of Twice worked on the Takedown track for Kpop Demon Hunters, fans are hoping that Hybe and Paramount’s new film will also include a Hybe group either through a cameo or a soundtrack feature. No matter what’s coming, one thing’s for certain: K-pop fans are geared up and ready for another blockbuster K-pop hit.
