We roar into August with Leo season in full swing. 1 August kicks off the weekend, but think twice before you push the envelope on a romantic connection: love-smitten Venus in emotive Cancer forms a square with stern Saturn retrograde in snappy Aries. This could increase the risk of friction with bae. By all means, romance away—but keep things light and easy, and save the big talk for another day.
Warrior planet Mars enters Libra on 7 August. Traditionally, Mars is ‘in detriment’ in Libra, meaning that its aggressive energies are at their weakest. Calm and detached negotiation could win you some major battles at this time—but taken to an extreme, Mars in Libra can be confused and passive-aggressive. Clear out the wishy-washy mojo with lots of diaphragm breathing; stick with the official agenda during important discussions.
How do you celebrate National Day? With a Full Moon in community-minded Aquarius, of course—this Full Moon graces us on 9 August and illuminates the significance of unity, acceptance of diversity, and our common pursuit of a greater good. Majulah, Singapura!
