The March eclipse season is over… Can we come out and play? Of course, darlings! Our resident spirituality and holistic wellness advisor, Kelly Lightworker highlights notable astrological aspects for the month and draws a Tarot card for each zodiac sign.
With the Sun in Aries for most of April, energies will feel bold and feisty. As with the previous month, Venus plays a major role in April’s astrology. The planetary ruler of beauty, relationships and money, Venus is retrograding until 13 April, when it stations direct in Pisces. Thereafter, it’s safe to go ahead with new investments, aesthetic procedures and makeovers, or The Talk with that awesome person you’re dating.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s backtrack to the first week of April: The 3rd sees a Venus-North Node conjunction in Pisces, followed up by a Venus-Saturn conjunction on the 7th in Pisces. Venus is still retrograding at this time, so people and situations from the past could resurface. The first week of April could feel intense, with some events arising as if inevitable, ‘fated’, and/or karmic. Tie up loose ends, put ghosts of the past to rest, and move forward with optimism. Mercury also stations direct on 7 April, so we can expect smoother communications and brighter prospects.
The Full Moon in peace-loving Libra falls on 13 April—yes, the same day that Venus stations direct! Celebrate the partnerships that make life sweet. However, if certain ties have developed in ways that were unfair or unhealthy, a time of reckoning could follow on 14 April with the Saturn-North Node conjunction in Pisces. Some of us might get a wake-up call about taking back our power. Fired up and ready to flip tables? Schedule your communication for 16 April when Mercury enters straight-shooting Aries: Assert yourself and you will emerge victorious.
The Sun enters Taurus on 20 April and so begins Taurus season: The vibes get earthy, practical and deservedly indulgent. On the same day, Venus conjuncts the North Node in Pisces once more, and then conjuncts Saturn in Pisces again on the 25—whatever desired outcomes that might have eluded you in the first week of April, you now get one more chance at ‘em. With the New Moon in Taurus to give you a nice neck rub on 28 April, you can finally relax and let all that intensity go.
Here are the Tarot cards for each zodiac sign in April 2025. Read for your Sun, Moon and rising signs to get your own unique three-card Tarot reading for the month!
ARIES: Seven of Cups, reversed

There can be too much of a good thing, dear Aries! You will always be loved for your pluck, sass and ambition. Having said that, manage your expectations and maintain a practical approach this month. Otherwise, you could get caught up in unrealistic expectations and/or take your advantages for granted. Keep your eyes on the prize and your feet on the ground, and you’ll do well.
TAURUS: King of Pentacles

Who’s got the Midas touch this month? It could be you, dear Taurus—with the King of Pentacles rooting for you, all that you touch turns to gold. Move strategically and with patience; take a pragmatic approach to your affairs and you will succeed grandly. Someone around you, possibly a person in a position of authority, could be watching your progress with great interest—this person might be a future benefactor.
GEMINI: Eight of Pentacles

Dear Gemini, this month you’ll be keeping your chin down and your nose close to the grind—and your efforts will pay off handsomely. Be it in career, love or any major area in your life, the Eight of Pentacles promises fair and equitable outcomes for whatever you invest into your endeavours. If you’ve been thinking about learning something new to level up your skill set, your intuition is spot on—all the best!
CANCER: Knight of Wands

Dear Cancer, if you’ve been considering a major move forward and/or a departure from the status quo, your card for this month is your green light to go, go, go! The Knight of Wands can also represent a person or dynamic in your life that is characterised by passionate action, courage and creativity. Break away from thinking and feeling; make good choices and act on your plans. This card also bodes well for travel.
LEO: Three of Cups, reversed

This month could bring you an eye-opener, dear Leo. Keep your finger on the pulse when it comes to your community of family, friends and loved ones. Trouble could be brewing in paradise: This card can indicate a disagreement amongst your inner circle, or a less-than-supportive dynamic with regards to your ventures (this can also apply to work and teammates). Thankfully, this can be resolved once it’s nipped in the bud.
VIRGO: Queen of Cups

This month, dear Virgo, your intuition will be at an all-time high. Trust yourself, and be sure to take time out just to breathe and rejuvenate your energies. Time on your own will sharpen your emotional and spiritual clarity. If you feel that you would benefit from wise counsel and emotional support, the Queen of Cups indicates that someone around you will be able to offer the assistance you require.
LIBRA: Wheel of Fortune, reversed

The reversed Wheel of Fortune is an intriguing card to get, dear Libra—it doesn’t necessarily indicate bad luck this month but rather, the highs and lows of unexpected developments. A word to the wise: Fortune is ultimately a fickle thing. Take only calculated risks, seize every chance, and disengage from outcomes. An objective view of matters will open the doors of opportunity soon enough.
SCORPIO: The Devil, reversed

If you’ve been holding your breath over a certain challenging situation, dear Scorpio, you can exhale now. The reversed Devil is here for you this month, reminding you that you are greater than what you fear, and that you have the power to overcome your obstacles—some of which might all be in your imagination. Liberate yourself from limiting beliefs and take the necessary step(s) forward. You’re going to be fine.
SAGITTARIUS: Nine of Wands

You’re working hard, shouldering responsibilities and fighting fires, dear Sagittarius, but have you been taking time out for yourself? The need could arise for you to draw a line in the sand for your own well-being. Some of my Saggi darlings could be facing a situation where information is being kept from you. Tap on your networks around the 13th, during the Full Moon in Libra, and you may receive useful intel.
CAPRICORN: Page of Pentacles

Dear Capricorn! This month, an opportunity presents itself for you to improve on your blueprint for your future (every Capricorn has one), as well as to learn something new and level up in life. Your ambitions can and will come true! Some of you could be dealing with matters related to a beloved child and/or someone in your life who’s either young or in a junior position to you. Let your wisdom guide others.
AQUARIUS: Strength, reversed

With this month’s intense energies, you would benefit greatly from taking a step back to regroup, dear Aquarius. Now that Pluto is firmly set in your sign until 2043, this year has understandably been challenging in parts… But you, my darlings, are tough (and thoroughly delicious) cookies. You’ll be alright so long as you remember to pace yourselves, stay positive, and never give in to petty fears.
PISCES: Queen of Wands, reversed

This month, dear Pisces, you could be feeling a little less confident or motivated in dealing with a situation. Look into your beautiful souls, my darlings—know that you are enough, and that you have all you need to manifest your gorgeous dreams. Some of you could be coming up against a dramatic kind of person who needs to win (or, at least, to be heard). Keep your distance, and focus on your own happiness.
