Instagram-worthy cafés are a dime a dozen these days. Some boast minimalistic interiors while others offer pastries so exquisite you’ll think twice before eating.
Here, we introduce to you HAUKE—a café in Seoul that offers edible Crocs shoes.
The two-storey café is nestled in Ilhwa-dong. It is just minutes away from Naksan Park, the perfect place to get a bird-eye view of Seoul.
To visit HAUKE, one can alight at Dongdaemun station and take exit 10. The walk to the café takes approximately 20 minutes, and there are some steep roads along the way.
But once you reach the café, it’s all worth it.

You get a respite from Seoul’s hustle and bustle as the café’s industrial-like, yet warm atmosphere welcomes you.
A highlight of the coffee shop: it has full-length windows—which means an abundance of natural light entering the establishment.
Its menu offers typical drinks you’ll find in a café and other experimentative desserts. Like its edible Crocs shoes.

Food items are pretty much reasonably priced. A cup of Americano costs ₩5,000 (SGD $5) while a glass of apple lemonade is priced at ₩6,000 (SGD $6).
According to the online guide Must Try in Korea, the café prides itself on sustainable and responsible operations. It sources most ingredients from local suppliers to avoid unnecessary carbon emissions from imports.
The café encourages patrons to bring their own reusable cups and cutlery when dining in to avoid single-use items.
Occasionally, the café also hosts events like candle-making workshops, art classes and sustainability-focused discussions.
If anything, HAUKE is more than just an aesthetic café. And it’s definitely worth a visit.
