Most of December is ruled by happy-go-lucky Sagittarius, the sign that loves travel and higher learning. We have a Full Moon in Gemini on the 5th: a time to express ourselves and to connect meaningfully with our inner circle. Then Neptune stations direct in Pisces on the 10th after months of a reality-checkin’ retrograde, and we all can dream again.
Mercury, initially in Scorpio, gets some mid-month action: first by forming a conjunction with cosmic rebel Lilith on the 11th, then zipping into Sagittarius the next day on the 12th. On these two days, be mindful with communication: foot-in-mouth syndrome is real, and some folks’s feathers could get ruffled—with distinctly unsexy consequences.
Mars enters Capricorn on the 15th, upping the ante for career- or conquest-minded people over the next five weeks. Whatever goal it is, you can achieve it—make good plans, prep your back-ups, and get ready for lots of hard work.
Another event to get ready for? The New Moon in Sagittarius on the 20th. New Moons carry the energies of releasing the past and embracing the future, and this New Moon is the last of the year. Set intentions for new things you want to learn and new places you want to be…the cosmic countdown to 2026 really begins now.
December’s big day, astrologically speaking, is the 21st: the Sun enters Capricorn and heralds the Winter Solstice on this day in the Northern Hemisphere. Several transits are taking place here, so I’ll focus on one for brevity—the illuminative Sun forms a tense square with imaginative Neptune in dreamy Pisces. Intel could be revealed which might shake things up. This could expose a truth that needed to be known. Three days later, beauty-loving Venus also squares Neptune in Pisces, so this exposé could involve either relationships, looks or money.
